50 Shades Dominates Harry Potter In The UK - Fastest Selling Paperback EVER!

The Brits like their nether parts tickled just as much - if not more - than the US!

Since Fifty Shades of Grey slammed into UK bookshelves last week, the once Twilight erotic fan-fiction turned regular erotic fiction has sold over 100,000 copies, an unprecedented event not even Harry Potter was able to achieve.

HOWEVER… keep in mind that most books first debut in hardback - including Harry Potter, thus when softcover versions are released, most fans have already purchased the book’s sturdier predecessor.

But still… Congrats E.L. James for realizing most people adore a little hot, naughty and DIRRRTY lovin’ in their otherwise whitewashed lives!

It’s all about the taboo, right?

You are going to hell with your witch mother.

    Disgusting.

Now wonder my devilish son won't give me my book back.

Who gives a shit about that crappy book?!

  4. 4

People are sucked into buying these books. I swear to God, they are the three worst books I have ever read!

I got sucked into buying this book - curious I guess - I found it predictable, repetitive, and poorly written. Character development was almost non-existent. There so much better out there.

I reluctantly read the first book; it was so bad I wanted to hurl it against the wall. Alas, my love for my e-reader outweighed my hatred of the crappy book. I couldn't get passed out dumb (not submissive but just rock stupid) the heroine was nor how the author was trying to pass off a violent sociopath as a hunky alpha male romantic hero. BDSM can be sexy and fun and exciting — when written well. This was just … ick.

If you want a kinked up romance with well-written characters (and plot and pacing and dialogue), a couple of good options are "Bared To You" by Silvia Day and "Willing Victim" by Cara McKenna.

Perez, you need to go all Oprah on us and start a book club.

I am so ashamed of this world.

I write better erotica than she does. Damn, I could've made millions!!

Yes thank you i was suckered into buying this book and it's shit….Although i would love to see Alex Skarsgard as Christian Grey I highly doubt i will read the rest.

As far as women getting turned on by this book I'll just say this…..If your girl, wife or lover needs this shit to get turned on by you then she isn't into you because i dont need a book to want to do my man I JUST WANT TO!!!!!

Don't buy the book, get the PDF for free online; that way you don't give the franchise any more money…it's Twilight fan-fiction and even the author knows it's bad. So again, if you're just curious about it, do the PDF thing or borrow it from a friend.
