Nelly Furtado Spins Her Big Hoops For Canada!

What a glorious, magical, fantastical evening it was!!

And Nelly Furtado injected her own hoopy juice into the MuchMusic Video Awards jelly with a neon-tinged performance of her most recent jam, Big Hoops.

We do wish she had done something a little more exciting herself

The background dancers are funzies and all, but come on Nelly spin them hips, hula-hoop! The song just screams DANCE DANCE DANCE to my lou beats.

Twist Walk with Nelly (above) while she wiles out for Canada!

She is the f*cking worst "singer". Horrible personality, horrible nasally voice. My version of hell would have Nelly Furtado songs on replay.

    Re: it-is-what-it-is

Oh, you know her personally enough to warrant a nasty comment?
I don't particularly like the song, but I'm hopeful for the album because unlike a lot of mainstream artists out there, she goes a long way to try and mix it up whenever she comes out with a new album.

Still should just give 'Big Hoops' up and move on to that 'Something' song with Nas.

ya she totally bombed. not a good performance at all, you can tell she's out of the loop. not saying she sucks in general, i like the song on the radio, but not a live performance because it had about 1 percent of the energy.

Please think of this song from a spirtual standpoint- The native american dancer are hoop dancers- the circle is a srtong never ending symbol of life to our people. If you watch the music video you will see a female fancy shawl dancer. To our people tt shows a womans independance in the modern world. When the woman first danced the fancy dance, it was the first dance she was able to move faster to - show her skills to her people. Big Hoops- a spritual standpoint - Woman! You can do anything if you try!! During the dance, our hoop dancers shapes are formed in storytelling ritual such as the butterfly, the eagle, the snake, and the coyote, with the hoop symbolizing the never-ending circle of life. The first World Champion Hoop Dancer was Eddie Swimmer, a Cherokee from Cherokee, North Carolina- My tribe is the eastern band of cherokee indians- Im proud Nelly finally showed the world OUR BIG HOOPS!!!
