Radiohead Concert Victim Identified As Drum Technician

| Filed under: Music MinuteR.I.P.Sad Sad

Just tragic!

Right before Radiohead were set to perform in Downsfield, Toronto Saturday, their stage collapsed, killing one and injuring three.

The deceased has now been identified as Drum Technician Scott Johnson, and Radiohead have since posted a tribute to Scott on their website.

Check out Drummer Philip Selway touching In Memoriam …AFTER THE JUMP.

“We have all been shattered by the loss of Scott Johnson, our friend and colleague. He was a lovely man, always positive, supportive and funny; a highly skilled and valued member of our great road crew. We will miss him very much. Our thoughts and love are with Scott’s family and all those close to him.”

Our hearts go out to Scott’s family and loved ones.

Hi Perez, FYI the place is called "Downsview" not "Downsfield". I'm from Toronto and I am a huge fan!

there's no need to be mean Lady Who?. I too am from the area and noticed the honest mistake and thought to see if someone mentioned the real name. when reporting serious news it's best to make sure all the facts are correct. if you want to get right down to the nitty gritty, it's called Downsview Park and is located in North York, Ontario.

Re: Fathrom – Hilton is known for his honest mistakes. It's called accountability.
