Barbra Streisand To Direct First Film In 16 Years!

This is HUGE…!!!
It sounds like Yentl Barbra Streisand will soon be returning to the wonderful world of film directing!!
It’s been a whopping 16 years since the legend has directed a film and this time, she’ll be taking on Skinny And Cat!
The flick is about controversial author Erskine Caldwell, who’ll be played by Colin Firth and photo-journalist Margaret Bourke-White, to be played by Cate Blanchett!
The songstress wrote the script for the movie over 25 years ago and is “very excited’ that it’ll finally be brought to life!
“It’s about a woman ahead of her time. It’s just a fascinating story that is very relevant to today.
Streisand’s last film she directed was The Mirror Has Two Faces, which was released back in 1996.
1983’s Yentl, arguably one of Barbra’s most well known films, was Babs’ FIRST time directing!
Production for Skinny And Cat is slated to begin in January 2013, 30 years after Yentl — that is, as long as she raises the $20 million to finance it in time!
Where can we donate?! Ha! But really…!!!
