Judd Apatow: Christina Applegate Will Be Back For Anchorman 2!

Veronica Corningstone IS coming back!

Christina Applegate said she wanted to be in Anchorman 2, but we got a little nervous when her presence was missing from the teaser trailer! Writer/director Adam McKay had even said her character was "expendable."

Then even more so last week, when Applegate admitted that she hadn't been asked back yet.

But the worry is now over!

Because NOW it's official! Judd Apatow has confirmed that Mz Corningstone WILL be a part of the News Team in Anchorman 2. The producer revealed simply:

"She will be back!"

And she's not the only person coming back to the sequel!

Apatow warns we should be on the look out for more cameos from Ben Stiller, Luke Wilson and Jack Black:

"I know that they want to do a lot of that. I just don't know who they're specifically thinking about."

Hooray! This makes us want to whip out our Jazz Flute in celebration!

Now, if only they get that pesky script finished….
