Whoopi Goldberg's Sister Act Is Booted Off Broadway
The show must go on end its run!
Whoopi Goldberg's Sister Act has announced that August 26 will be its final bow on Broadway.
Despite Raven Symone's WOWING performance as the musical's lead, Deloris Van Cartier, the show is getting the boot.
Sister Act will be closing its 16-month run WITHOUT recouping its full capitalization — which is baaaad news for Whoopi and the rest of the producers who sunk $10 million into the show!
Hey — don't go thinking the play was a failure!
Sister Act was nominated for five Tony Awards, including "Best Musical" back in 2011.
And, as far as the monitory success… producers will have a chance to turn a profit on the show from its North American tour, set to start in Oct.
Sorry Whoops! At least you still get to argue over Real Housewives on the View!

Geez I cannot remember the last time I saw a live play - even in the LA equity theaters it is $50 and as a senior living on Social Security and a small royalty check I just cannot afford it plus there is the driving at night thing.
Perez, why arent you reporting that Tom Leonardis, (Whoopi's creepy pervy business partner) is banned from The View studio, he is so hated by the crew. The crew complained to Queen Barbara and he was banned.
