Dane Cook has conquered stage, film and might have a hit television series on NBC this fall. But before he becomes a misogynistic radio DJ in Next Caller Please, the comedian will return to the stage to make his theater debut as Franz Liebkind in The Producers.
In case you haven't seen Mel Brooks' comedic musical or any of the film versions (SHAME!), Cook's character is the deranged ex-Nazi who writes the titular characters' surefire flop, Springtime for Hitler: A Gay Romp with Adolf and Eva at Berchtesgaden.
He'll be joining other notable celeb cast members like Rebecca Romijn as Ulla, Richard Kind as Max Bialystock and Jesse Tyler Ferguson as Leo Bloom.
Shows will run at the Hollywood Bowl for just one weekend between July 27-29.
Hey, remember when Will Ferrell got freaky as Franz? Maybe Dane can call him for some tips…
