After causing an unnecessary controversy, HBO has corrected Game of Thrones creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss' mistake of putting George W. Bush's head on a spike in episode ten of season 1.
On top of pulling the episode from iTunes and stopping shipments of the first season's DVD, the network pulled the episode from HBO GO in response to the criticism. Now, however, the episode is back online because editors managed to blur the face of the head so it is no longer recognizable as the nation's 43rd president.
This whole fiasco seemed like a ginormous overreaction to us, but the scandal is over so everyone can relax.
George W's cameo has been cut and
his credit has been removed from IMDb fans can once again enjoy the first season's finale without being considered a terrorist.
