Chloë Moretz ‏Begins Filming Carrie! Tweets From Set!

Chloe moretz tweets first day of shooting carrie

At just 15-years-old, Chloë Moretz has already killed more people than we can count in roles as a kick-ass superhero and a deadly vampire.

But before she gets her driver's license, she's going to increase that on-screen body count filming the remake of Carrie.

The young actress started the first day of shooting yesterday and announced the news to her fans via Twitter:

In case you've never seen or heard of the Stephen King classic, Carrie is the story of a sheltered, shy high school student who discovers she has telekinetic powers. After the unstable girl is pushed to far by bullies, her classmates discover her powers too…in the most painful way possible.

Julianne Moore is playing Chloe's cray cray Christian mother in the movie, while the wonderful Judy Greer stars as the teacher who tries to help the tormented girl.

We don't think producers could have found a better cast, so this is one remake that we're definitely looking forward to. How ’bout U?

    They are filming next to my condo in Jarvis Collegiate in Toronto, Canada.

    I saw "Carrie White's" Trailer. Looking forward to Margaret White's Trailer.

    this is gonna flop hard. Nobody can top the Sissy spacek original and especially her crazy momma! not even Julianne moore.

    Leave the classics alone!! I watched Poltergeist again the other day and if they even try re-doing that…

    There's nothing new about Hollywood remaking it's older movies. Hey, Bogart's "Maltese Falcon" was the THIRD time it had been filmed! Problem these decades is that thanks to first VHS and now DVD old movies never go away and are forever imbedded in the public consciousness. So I personally have tyo gripes about a remake. I just think Chloe is too pretty to be the homely outcast Carrie. Sissy pulled it off, even though she wasn't homely, but Chloe is and always has been just too cute! As an actress, sure… but bad casting as far as appearance. They would have been better going with an unknown.

    I agree, but she pulled off Let Me In, so we'll have to see. One thing I like about her is that not only is she beautiful but she can really act. Like a teen Charlize Theron.

    Re: lastonestanding – This is an interesting point… in the book, Carrie was homely, overweight, and had tons of acne! Nothing AT ALL like Chloe Moretz… and even nothing like Sissy Spacek! But I have to admit, I'm looking forward to this one!! Should be interesting to see how it comes off.

    How many re-makes of this movie are there gonna be? This makes 3 or 4. Something like that. Enough..
