Guess any chance that Dexter would continue on past its eighth season have been squashed!
In fact, according to executive producer Sara Colleton, if they had it their way, the Showtime series would have wrapped with SEVEN!
"[That end date] was definite. We wanted to end it this year [after seven years] but the network convinced us that it would be best to do it in two years. In some ways, this is a two-season series-ender. We have worked that out and know where it's going to end. Next year will definitely be the last year of Dexter. Absolutely. We don't know what the final scene is, but we know where [the show is] going. We know now exactly how it's going to end. I feel easily that we can be an eight-year show. I want us to go out on a high and everybody on the show is determined to keep the level of it up to the very end."
After such a long, crazy journey, we can't believe that we're finally hitting the home stretch with Michael C. Hall and the gang!
But with such a GAME-CHANGING cliffhanger at the end of last year's otherwise-lackluster season, we know that we're going to be in for some AWESOME storytelling when our favorite serial killer returns this fall!
How about U? Are U sad to know Dexter is coming to an end?
