Now the stories are starting to come full circle.

Chuck Norris has joined in on the public debate over whether or not the Boy Scouts of America should allow openly gay scoutmasters.
In an opinion piece that hit the world wide web this week, the action star criticized BSA National Board Member James Turley and Barack Obama for supporting the LGBT community on the issue. He even went as far as to suggest that there is some kind of government conspiracy working against a "century-old policy to ban gays from leadership."
Whatever conspiracy there may be, it isn't a very secret one. After Cub Scout leader Jennifer Tyrell was fired because of her sexual orientation, nearly 300,000 people have a signed a petition to reinstate her.
“Since I was ousted as a scout leader I have been flooded with support from local parents, scouts and hundreds of thousands of Americans. Chuck Norris is clearly out of touch and I’d like for him to sit down with my family and fellow scouting families who support us. My orientation wasn’t an issue in my son’s pack until the Boy Scouts made parents tell their children why their favorite den leader was no longer able to participate. With the U.S. military, the Girls Scouts of the USA, the 4-H Club and the Boys & Girls Club among organizations that allow gay Americans, the time is now to end the ban.”
VERY well said! And what a good idea!
Before the Expendables 2 star continues making such strong statements, we think he should ABSOLUTELY have a face-to-face meeting with Jennifer.
Despite his prejudiced views on homosexuality, Chuck seems like a pretty nice guy. His perspective might change once he has a meaningful conversation with a person the BSA's dated policy is affecting.
