Oooo girl! You in trooooooouble!!!

'Cause SOMEONE in Jessie J's camp f*cked up real bad when picking the music for mega-hit Domino, and now Jessie J, Universal Music Group, Lava Records, and Universal Republic Records are being sued by singer Will Loomis!

The track, Loomis claims, is practically identical to Newport, CA based band Loomis and the Lust's Bright Red Chords, which was released over TWO YEARS before anyone had even heard of Jessie J.

Of course, we were skeptical upon hearing these claims of thievery, but after listening to both tunes, well… the similarities are uncanny!

    I listened to both songs and the only thing similar is the way they sing the first verse. The chorus is completely different, the bridge doesn't even sound close, and the loom is and lust people stole their chord progression from Jimmy "Bo" Horne's Gimme Some. They tried comparing the two songs, but used Jessie J's backing track and not their own(which sounds nothing similar) and they only used the first minute or so of the song because nothing else is even close to similar.     Definition of identical : similar or alike in every way: The two cars are identical except for their license plates.

    Either your ears need cleaning, or you just believe whatever you wanna believe but these two tracks are NOT identical.

    This guy is obviously out to get money,the singing in the verse may sound similar,but the rest is not at all alike.The beat is completely different,and Jessie J is obviously not even aware of this man or his song. What is it with American artits trying sue all the time 0.o?

    Two different songs. The chorus doesn't sound the same at all. There is a small similarity in the first verse but that's it. They both have different voices, they both sing it differently and the music is different. There are plenty of songs that have parts in them that sound like other songs. There are artists that sample the same things. Lyrics and overall sound are different. People are just jealous and hungry for money. People like that song because she sang it. There's a reason why their song wasn't as big..

    I'm not even a Jessie J fan but I have to say that these two songs are as similar as chalk and cheese. There is a very slight similarity in the very beginning but lots of songs have similar bits, doesn't make them exact copies of each other. This less successful group is riding the fame wave.

    Guys, the Gimme Some thing is just chords. YOU CANNOT COPYRIGHT CHORDS. There are only so many chord progressions you can use. That's like claiming a painter stole from another painter for using the same colors. You can ONLY copyright melody and lyrics, and it doesn't matter that it "only sounds the same for this one bit and the chorus is completely different", the fact of the matter is that for the verse the MELODY (remember, which can be copyrighted) of the verse sounds EXACTLY the same with the same flourishes in BOTH SONGS. It doesn't matter that the groove is different or the beat is different or the chords are different. THE MELODY IS THE SAME. The end.

    Re: jimbobkakashi – You must have a different edition of the song. If you indeed are listening to the correct one, listen again, because only the melody of the first verse is similar. Everything else is totally different. Their song is so horrible, I'm surprised we're even having this conversation.

    They never stole it. You can't copyright chord progression as it is too vague. But you can copyright melody, which HAS been stolen by Jessie J. But then again, as you are clearly a Jessie J fan, logic is irrelevant and any arguments against her are automatically invalid.

    Re: Emi – I am glad that somebody else has actually read into the subject before issuing their stupid and uninformed opinions. She sped the beat up and changed the general style of the music. But if a rock band did a cover of a pop song (and there are many on youtube if you want examples), you could point out numerous differences but you would still accept that it is the same song. It is the same case here.
