Guess What Record Fifty Shades of Grey Broke This Time?

Fifty Shades of Grey fans

Congratulations E.L. James!

The pulitzer prize-winning Fifty Shades of Grey author's book has beaten the record for fastest adult paperback to sell one million copies.

The previous holder, The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown, took 36 long weeks to hit one million. James and her nasty Twilight fan fiction only took 11 weeks!

The stats aren't that shocking. Just last week, the mommy porn sold over 200k copies in the UK last week.

As of today, the erotic novel is the 32nd biggest-selling book since records began in 1998.

We're like a thousand percent sure that the Fifty Shades of Grey movie will do as well as the book — no matter who they cast! (Though, our vote is Alexander Skarsgård!)

We hope E.L. is buying herself some fancyass whips and handcuffs to celebrate!

Matt Bomer for Christian Grey!!! I honestly don't understand how anyone can picture another actor for that part, he is perfect.

I definately agree (along with some of my friends on FB) Matt is THE ONLY ONE who should be playing Christian Gray.

geez everybody is on about these books. I think the films could be a mess though. Erotic films are extremely hard to pull off because you have to tread a fine line.

As publishers of a popular women’s sexuality and entertainment site over the past 10 years, we were amazed at how this Trilogy and the upcoming movie literally skyrocketed women of all ages exploring their sexuality on our network of sites. Regardless of its literary merit, one thing that this series has done is given millions of women a ticket out of the closet to explore their sensuality and even kinky sides! Kudos! Beth at sssh.com

Ho-Hum. First there was The Story of O, then 9 1/2 Weeks. Remember Mickey Rourke then? Pseudo B&D (bondage and discipline) made palatable for mainstream America. I hope Alexander Skarsgard is more intelligent than to succumb to this sort of sensationalized drivel.
