Jena Malone Kevin Durand Catching Fire

Hollywood's mockingjays are tweet, tweet, tweeting with Hunger Games casting rumors!

Donnie Darko star Jena Malone and Real Steel veteran Kevin Durand are being strongly considered for the roles of Johanna Mason and Brutus respectively.

Since there are still eight or nine people who haven't read Catching Fire, we won't spoil any crucial plot details surrounding their characters.

We can reveal, however, that Bruce Willis was dead the whole time Malone's character hails from District 4, a region known for good-looking fishermen!

We couldn't make this stuff up if we tried!!

Durand isn't the only name being flung around like a tribute from District 11 — Victor Gojcaj and Magic Mike's Kevin Nash also auditioned.

Either way, with how rigorously Jennifer Lawrence trains in the off-season, these newcomers are in for some stiff competition!

    If i'm not mistaken, Johana Mason is from District 7 or 8 (the Lumber District). Mags was the lady from District 4.

    Jenna Malone would be a terrible fit for that role. I imagine Johana Mason to be tanned, and more physically fit (somewhat muscular). Or so it seemed when I was reading the books. She seemed like a super bad as* character that would be physically intimidating.

    Jena Malone is a HORRIBLE choice for the role of Johanna Mason. There is a strength, power, uncaring attitude in Johanna that there is NO WAY meek little Jena could portray. Her sarcasm, her anger.. Jena could NOT do that justice.
