The show has already lost four cast members, gained one actor and a Jhud — but those are not the only changes Smash is preparing for season two!
Bob Greenblatt, chairman of NBC, recently revealed some very inneresting deets about the show's future!
The first bomb: Bombshell isn't the only only big (fake) musical to make it's Broadway debut next season. Bobby G says:
“The season-two plotline will involve the emergence of a hot new musical that gives Bombshell a run for its money in terms of buzz and Tonys attention.”
Another big change is for the show is who's in charge. Gossip Girl alum Josh Safran, has been put in charge showrunner for season two.
The network head thinks Josh will do a lot to improve plotlines, explaining:
"We weren't consistent enough in how our character arcs were playing out. We needed to smooth out those arcs, and Josh is really suited to doing those kinds of stories."
Sound like next season will be sweet music!
Last season did get a little cheesy at the end, so hopefully these changes will fix all the plot issues and make the show a Smash!
