Do you realize that we all got tooled on this one? Obamacare has nothing to doing with getting medical help. It means everyone has to buy insurance. So all you 27+ year olds who don't need insurance because you're health you better hurry up and buy your insurance policy (you have to report the purchase to the IRS so don't think you can get away without buying) or pay a huge penalty. Doesn't sound like a reason to celebrate to me!

Healthcare rights? Human rights? What in world are you talking about? Everyone has access to healthcare. Theres a doctor or clinic on every corner for crying out loud. People who PAY a premium for current healthcare insurance get discounts etc. People who don't have an annual policy that they pay too - pay full price. Understand this law. Nothing is FREE. This is the largest TAX increase in American history. If you don't have a health insurance policy - you must pay $3000 TAX/PENALTY/FEE dictated by the IRS. So if you are 22 and not on your parents policy - you have to pay $3000 every year or face jail time. Wake up Perez. Everyone should be outraged - not celabrating.

Re: Chase – You are SOOOO stupid.
People LOSE THEIR HOMES because they don't have the money to pay for basic health care.
62 % of all bankrupcies are due to health care bills.
Most civilized countries in the world have free health care.
It IS a basic human right.
(Unless, in your mind, only the rich must survive.)

Overthere (telling name) - you are the one that is soooooo stupid. What part of - if you dont have a health insurance policy, that you register ever year with the IRS - YOU will get TAXED/FINED/PENALTY of $3000 you must pay - didn't you understand?
I just read page 1 of the Declaration of Independence and didn't find healthcare for free listed as a right. Nothing is free. Taxpayers fund every program. Those so called civilized countries you mention are communist. Off to work I go to fund your FREE STUFF programs.

Where this country is heading scares the hell out of me. Personally, I do not want the government to make decisions for me. I’m an educated woman that can make my own decisions thank you very much. With that said, what about those taxes that he argued would not result from his delusional totalitarian dream? There are not even enough doctors to facilitate this plan. I am uninsured at the moment and pay out of pocket for my own healthcare. It sucks, but I would gladly continue on this path instead of watching our country turn into Orson Welles “1984”.

Re: WillowWynde – Yeah! Someone else gets it. If anyone was paying attention the court ruled the MANDATE was unconstitutional. Judge Roberts decided to re-write the law (that was shoved down our throats on a Christmas eve midnight vote if you recall) and call it a TAX. Thats wrong on so many levels.
And yes, we were lied to and told it was no way a tax to try and sell it.
Well it is a tax - now that Roberts changed the word.
If people are not outraged that the biggest tax increase was slipped their way - then they don't get it and never will.
If you don't have a health insurance policy, start saving for the annual $3000 TAX you must start paying.
Off to work where I am lucky to have insurance. It's not great, I have to pay a monthly premium and still have high co-pays and deductables, but at least it's something.

Yawn, take the dicks out of your political asses. This wasn't meant to be an open debate on the healthcare reform, you douche bags. It's just something funny to watch.

  14. 14

Well, I do not have the money to buy a health insurance policy (in my 60's with some pre-existing conditions nor do I have the money to pay a $3000 a year fine so I guess I will just let the government put me in jail and I will have free food and housing.

Although I am eligible for Medicare in a little less than one year.

Re: Chase – Ohhhh YOU didn't find it in the declaration of independence?? Well shit then I guess you just showed those dumb asses on the supreme court!! Maybe you should call them up and tell them you didn't find it anywhere! Seriously they'll feel SO STUPID!

I am so happy for all Americans who do not hab=ve insurance. Although, people are going to be required to buy insurance, well, try to buy coverage now and then you tell me if you can afford it!!

I enjoy full insurance coverage by my employer, but it rears my heart out to see people who do not have insurance do not go to the doctor, because it will cost them their life savings, that is if they have any money saved.

What is wrong with paying for health care? It wont be as expensive as it is today. For most Americans which inclues members of my family, it will not cot them much because they do not make a lot of Money.

I do feel sorry for the people who do make a lot of money!!! They must pay higher Money!! SORRY about that…
