Blur Debuts Two Wildly Different Tracks Via Twitter
Two new Blur songs for the price of one none?!? It must be our lucky day!
Blur pushed out two new tracks today and, let us be the first ones to tell you, these twins are NOT identical!
The Puritan (above) sounds like a funky cross between a British rendition of the Daria theme song and the Gorillaz doing dubstep. You might be in for a bit more bass-wobble than you expected!
Under the Westway (below) more closely resembles your Father's Blur. It's catchy and lovely and altogether sweet.
Damon Albarn and his band wrote these new songs to play at their Hyde Park concert during the closing ceremony of the London Olympics this Summer but decided to debut the tracks in advance via Twitter!!
We admire your willingness to give back to your homeland, gentleman — but we're afraid we still can't root for England.
U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A!
