Chris Brown's 'Fortune' On The Rise

| Filed under: Music MinuteChris Brown

Chris Brown Fortune

Chris Brown's new album is making someone a Fortune!

The album, released yesterday, is expected to sell over 125,000 copies by the end of the week.

Not much of a surprise given that the album's first single Turn Up The Music has turned up everywhere from Dancing With The Stars to the NBA All-Star Game.

The popularity of the song has put the album on "track" to becoming Breezy's second consecutive record to hit number one on the Billboard 200 chart.

After the success of F.A.M.E. and Fortune, The real question is what will Breezy's next self-fulfilling album title be?

Our money is on World Domination!

Even in todays age those aren't exactly earth shattering numbers even if it will be #1. The album has pretty much gotten rotten reviews all the way around though so I'm not surprised. Then too, it's Chris Brown. Yuck!!!

Really? 125 thousand sold in a week? That number would be good for a nobody first-time artist, not someone who has been around for years and is considered to be a star, superstar, or megastar. His album should have been projected to sell upwards of between 250k and 450k thousand in one week. 125k is a laughable joke, especially since this is a holiday weekend!!! Perez, I like you, but you are not an expert in matters of the music business, or you would know those numbers are very low–troublingly so.

BTW, what happened to the days of N-Sync, Britney Spears, Eminen, and the Backstreet Boys selling 1 million, to a 1.5 in a week?

You're joking but thats not a bad album name. And with his popularity thats kinda fitting. He's the new King of Pop whether people like it or not. He can dance, sing, and rap, and he sung live at the bet awards the other night AND danced his ass off. I'd buy World Domination
