Brad Pitt's Mom Wants U To Vote For Romney Because He Hates Gays

| Filed under: Gay Gay GayBrad PittPolitikBarack ObamaLGBT

Brad Pitt mom anti-gay letter

Ugh! How can one woman birth such a beautiful boy, but have such unattractive views???

Jane Pitt, a.k.a. Brad Pitt's mom, wrote a letter to her local newspaper that urged Christians to vote for Mitt Romney because Barack Obama is "a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage."

Ah yes, he's the worst. How dare he stand up for the rights of women and minorities, right?

She also made sure to point out that the president's middle name is Hussein. You know, like the dictator Saddam? In case you've been blinded by the liberal media, that means he's bad news for this country and probably isn't even a U.S. citizen.

In fact, with that middle name and those social views, he's gotta be a commie spy. LOLz!

The letter was written in response to another opinion piece which expresses Christians' right to NOT vote for Romney because of his Mormon beliefs. However, Jane implored readers to go ahead and vote for Romney because he "shares Christian conviction" — particularly when it comes to intolerance for the LGBT community.

We're glad to see that Mrs. Pitt is placing a vote based entirely on her religious beliefs. After all, what's more Amurican than letting ONE religion dictate our laws?

Wait a second…didn't the early settlers flee Europe because of something like that…?

Eh, who cares. This is America. If you don't like it, get out! (Isn't that the usual response from the self-proclaimed "patriotic" bigots against equality or social progress?)

Fortunately, Brad has made it abundantly clear over the years that he does NOT share the same views as his mother and we think a lot more people are looking up to him as a role model.

Ch-ch-check out the entire letter that the Hollywood icon's mother penned (below)!

I have given much thought to Richard Stoecker’s letter (“Vote for Mormon against beliefs,” June 15). I am also a Christian and differ with the Mormon religion.

But I think any Christian should spend much time in prayer before refusing to vote for a family man with high morals, business experience, who is against abortion, and shares Christian conviction concerning homosexuality just because he is a Mormon.

Any Christian who does not vote or writes in a name is casting a vote for Romney’s opponent, Barack Hussein Obama — a man who sat in Jeremiah Wright’s church for years, did not hold a public ceremony to mark the National Day of Prayer, and is a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage.

I hope all Christians give their vote prayerful consideration because voting is a sacred privilege and a serious responsibility.

Are U going to give "prayerful consideration" to vote against equality or do U want to see this country change in the left RIGHT direction?

i wonder how she feels about Shiloh

  2. 2

    What an OLD SENILE HAG.

  3. 3

Uh-oh! I don't think gays should be allowed to get married. So does that mean I am a rotten person because I don't agree with you perez?? Just because people's opinions differ from yours, does NOT mean they are in the wrong.

  4. Krissy says – reply to this

I love you but you are crossing the line here. Just because someone is against gay marriage does not mean they hate gays.

  5. 5

Perez….you are full of lies. Did you even read the letter….bc how you characterize it is vastly different than what she wrote. Her letter expressed an opinion and point of view. The fact that you may disagree in no way gives you the right to spew hate and misrepresent what the issues are. What a misleading headline. Romney is not against gays. Being in favor of traditional marriage in no way means you hate gays. She did not advocate for one religion. To the contrary, she is stating her belief that being Christian does not mean you should not vote for him bc he is mormon. Why don't you respect her opinion and stop the misleading crap.

  6. shane says – reply to this

Re: Krissy – you think you deserve to marry the one you love but i don't? sounds like hate to me.. bigot.

  7. 7

Because she has a different view, she is now a bad person? It's her right to have an opinion. Stop force feeding this crap, it's insane.

  8. 8

Re: Krissy – You say, "Just because someone is against gay marriage does not mean they hate gays." If someone wants to deny a gay person the right to get married then they are discriminating against gays. Discrimination is hate. So, yes, it does mean they hate gays. It is fine to say that everyone has a right to their opinion, but when you want to legislate your opinion to the detriment of others, then yes, it is hateful.

So what? Poor woman, get off her back.

I am an ardent Obama supporter and I happen to disagree with her sentiments 100%.. I am out there fighting in trenches daily for everything she wants to squash.

But in this country she did what we know as exercise her right to free speech. I do it daily and I am doing it here. It is a very precious thing.

A hit piece on a private citizen no one knows except as the relative of someone, for writing a letter to a local paper.

I love this country with all my heart, but this crud has to stop.

Is there no shame left anymore? I mean it could be ANY of us next for ANY reason.. this stuff has to stop.

  10. 10

When did Mitt Romney ever say he hated gays? I'm not a supporter of him but come on. He is a religious man and gay marriage is against his values. Thay doesn't make him a gay hater.
It sound bad to say but many, many people base their version of right and wrong after their religion. In his eyes a man and woman should be the only people who get married. There are even homosexuals who don't think gay marriage should be legal, because it is against their religion. Does that make them gay haters? No. They just want to do what they think is right in the eyes of God.
And this is coming from someone who supports gay marriage and isn't religious. I just think people can have their own outlook on life.

  11. Shay Mitch says – reply to this

Check your sources Perez the Newspaper has since said it WAS NOT the same Jane Pitt, and apologized for the mistake.

  12. 12

how dare she express her opinion. there is only 1 opinion accepted in this country, the ones that will lead us all to burning in hell!

  13. 13

ok perez i think you obviously have to read before post, i think that any person have the right to marry a woman or a men, becouse we all deserve the seme rights, but she don't said i hate gays, she is just need education

  14. 14

Since you don't agree with her views, you must hate women and straights.

  15. 15

Re: rosebud99 – Sorry, Rosebud. I disagree. Hate is a very strong word. We cannot expect that everyone will share our views and values. Obama admitted that his view on same sex marriage had evolved. Does this mean that he was hateful against gays before making a change in his stance? (Which I think was purely for Hwood fundraising…we know how Wright and Muslims view gays.) We can hope that Mrs. Pitt evolves in her views. If not, she's entitled to her opinion.

Obama is just now supporting same sex marriage to just get the vote.

  18. Nicole says – reply to this

I read about this last night…the Jane Pitt that wrote this letter is NOT the same Jane Pitt that is Brads mother. Before you post these stories you should really make sure that it hasnt already been cleared up. It makes you look ridiculous.

  19. 19

Re: rosebud99 – your reply makes no sense at all. Women are not allowed to be members of Augusta National the home of the Masters. Do you think all those men hate women. And I guess all the black colleges hate whites huh. You are a typical narrow minded bleeding heart liberal always looking to hate. I actually pity you… it must be tough being so insecure.

  20. 20

Re: lukeworrallishot – Time to put down the Bath Salts!

  21. 21

Re: poodlewithamohawk – Hate is a very strong word. But discrimination should not be sugar-coated. Of course everyone has a right to their opinion, but if your opinion is discriminatory, then own up to the implications. Saying, 'I don't hate gays, but in my opinion it should be illegal for them to get married', is discriminatory, and therefore hateful.

  22. Newt says – reply to this

Who cares… Obama is going down in flames.
-Added 5 trillion to the deficit, most of any president in history
-40+ consecutive months 8% or higher unemployment. Worst of any president
-obamacare is the largest tax increase in American history
-he spent 3.5 years to usher in obamacare and it will be repealed day one by Romney.

Total waste of a presidency. He will go down as the worst president in US history. Don't be blinded by celebs who support him because he's for gays. They aren't affected by the deficit and unemployment

  23. 23

"SHE" hates gays, moron. Brad Pitt and Angelina love them. I have better things to worry about than what Brad Pitt's mother thinks about politics and gay people. She probably grew up in a household with gay hating parents. It's that generation. She will die off as will the rest of her generation and the ones coming up are already kinder and more accepting of gay people. Just give it time.

  24. Marz says – reply to this

Honestly, who gives a fuck? She is allowed to have her own opinion. I don't believe that gays should be able to get married, although i do believe that there should be another term equivalent to marriage that can be used to describe a relationship between two people of the same sex, as long as it carries all the same privileges that married couples share. Now, all of you guys can get all offended because I am "hating" on gays, when in reality that's not true in the slightest as I have many friends in same-sex relationships. I am so sick of the media constantly trying to force that if you aren't 100% liberal then you are a "gay hater" or protesting against womens' rights. Perez, shut the fuck up & get your story right as this isn't Brad Pitts mom.

  25. Celeb Fan says – reply to this

Perez, this story is TOTALLY FALSE. All major media outlets have reported the letter was written by a woman named Jane Pitt, but NOT Brad's mom. You should correct this asap because this is totally unfair to her.

  26. 26

Good for her stand up and speak the truth! We need more people like her that have conviction to get that piece of trash out of the white house!

  27. Elizabeth says – reply to this

I am pro-gay marriage… but, just because someone isn't doesn't mean they hate gays. Every time you say that, it just shows how ignorant you are. Stop promoting the hate language.

  28. Audrey says – reply to this

Perez, she pointed out “Hussein” in Barack’s middle name, just like you mentioned Sam “Osama” Lufti a few posts earlier — you’re both bigots!

  29. Lauren says – reply to this

I have never ever commented before and have read this blog for almost five years. This is a blog about celebrities. Not a place for political commentary. I am so tired of you spreading inaccurate messages about both sides of the political arena. Not all conservatives are bad just like not all liberals are good. Stick with what you know and leave the politics out.

  30. 30

A lot of her view points come from living in the middle of Missouri. I live in Saint Louis and a lot of people are conservative here, but the young people don't reflect that as much. Other than Kansas City and Saint Louis, most of Missouri is really conservative. It is sad that she feels this way. I wonder how Brad Pitt is going to respond. It's his mother and he obviously loved her but I think this has to disappoint him. I hope he isn't asked about it too much because we know where he stands and he shouldn't have to talk poorly about him Mom to everyone.

  31. Hi says – reply to this

Didn't E News had this article and they confirm it wasn't Brad pitt's mom?

  32. Ally says – reply to this

I agree with her - by allowing someone like Obama to continue their reign, morals go down the drain, and more and more people end up in hell because they don't have leaders telling them what is socially acceptable, and unacceptable

wow Perez, so its ok for you to have your beliefs and opinions but Mrs Pitt shouldn't have hers. Who's the backwards one.. Shame on you!

  35. lita123 says – reply to this

this was reported yesterday by E! It was later found to be a different person, not Brad Pitt's mommy

  36. 36

Obama didn't support gay marriage in the last campaign. This time he is supporting any group that will get him votes. If he supported gay marriage he could wave his pen and make gay marriage legal. THINK ABOUT IT! He can do that and he is NOT! He is pandering for the gay vote. I would have thought gays were smarter than that!

Re: Krissy – Agree with you! :)

  38. kimmy says – reply to this

My opinion: Gays should not be allowed to marry…some other civil term, fine…but not marriage. I'm actually tired of hearing about 'gay' day in and day out! Go, be gay, whatever…just shut up about it.

As for Obama. He has never supported gay marriage, until re-election time rolls around and he needs to find some votes. I can't wait…nigg*r going down!

  39. 39

Well, at least she's a great mom and didn't teach her kids to think like her.

  40. 40

Ultimately, the vast majority of elections are decided by how the economy is doing. With Obama's failure to turn things around, the people will want a change. And almost no one will vote based on the candidate's views on gay marriage.

  41. 41

isn't there an old saying that goes something like "you can choose your friends, but you can't choose your family"
hope her misguided stance on same sex marriage eventually evolves because with as many grandchildren as she has at least one is bound to turn out gay. it sure would be hateful to not want your grandchild to have the same rights as any other taxpaying american citizen has. until then maybe she should watch the play "8" on youtube starring her son as United States District Chief Judge Vaughn R. Walker. either that or she could check out her future daughter in laws hot lesbian scenes in "Gia".

  42. 42

You're opinion of her letter isn't a surprise. That is totally expected of you. What is irritating about you is the stupid and asinine shit you say like "Eh, who cares. This is America. If you don't like it, get out!" Are you that stupid and out of touch and naive that you could suggest people just leave their own country over this?

  43. 43

Perez I am on your side and support Gay Marriage, but I do support anyone's right to their opinion. You need to try and respect her opinion in the way you ask for those to respect yours.

  44. 44

Well, you raised an ADULTER who impregnated a woman outside of HOLY WEDLOCK…mulitple times! Don't start throwing christian stones there lady!

  45. Guest says – reply to this

That is a twisted opinion. She is a Christian and she follows God's Word. Period.

  46. 46

sorry, I misspelled adulterer. My bad. It happens.

  47. 47

Romney has never said he hates gays Perez!!! Just because someone disagrees with you, you put words in their mouth. You are the type of homosexual that makes people sick of y'all. I sent you an article about a CONSERVATIVE GAY ORGANIZATION that is backing Romney, but you never posted it to your sight because you're narrow minded and want everyone to have your opinions. Not gonna happen!!

  48. 48

Re: Roseygirl – Yeah except it wasn't actually Brad Pitt's mom, juat some lady with the same name.

  49. guest says – reply to this

Good for her for speaking her mind. However, what does she think of her son hooking up with a bi-sexual crazy chic who made out with her brother, while he was married? Or is that fine with her? I think she pretends to like Jolie just to be close to her son and her grand kids. I have to laugh at all the Pitt family photo ops at all the premiers. So fake! And look for Jolie to dump Pitt really soon. No matter how hard she tries to project a family woman/earth mother image, she's still bat shit crazy. She will be bored of Pitt soon. Let's face it, the dude has zero sense of self. He morphs into who ever he is dating. Its gonna be over soon.

  50. 50

Re: Austin TX – Thank you, and I agree wit you.

  51. SusieQ says – reply to this

Re: sick_girl – He didn't have to say he hated gays. He had his buddies hold a gay guy down while he cut his hair. So, I think it's safe to say he hates gays. Also, she might hate gays, but apparently it's okay for her son to have kids out of wedlock and cheat on his wife - because she's pretty close with the Pitt-Jolie clan.

  52. 52

Okay, people need to STOP holding the right to spew bigotry above the rights of your fellow citizens. Yes, she has the right to free speech, but doest that people can't stick up to her about it? If she had said she didn't think black people should be able to vote, people would have her head on a spear. The truth is that bigotry is always wrong. Always. And just because you have the right to say it doesn't give you immunity.

Second, it's not just her opinion when she wants to use it to justify taking away the rights of certain Americans.

Third, STOP saying that just because she is against gay marriage it doesn't mean she hates gay people. What if she had said she doesn't think black people should be able to get married? Wouldn't that seem offensive to you? When it comes down to it, I don't care if you hate me or love me, but get the hell away from my rights. You people have the audacity to vote against my right to marry and then try to make yourself feel like a better person by saying you don't hate me after all? Do you really expect us to buy that? Why is there a misconception in this country that it is somehow okay for you to vote on MY rights?

  53. borednow says – reply to this

For those of you saying that this wasn't written by Brad's mother, Jane Pitt. This is what the Springfield Leader has to say:

Editor’s note: To clear up earlier confusion, the News-Leader has verified the letter writer is the mother of actor Brad Pitt and local businessman Doug Pitt.

I happen to think she is a racist and a bigot. Her use of Barack' Obama's middle name was meant to inflame. She can have her opinion but so can we.

  54. Be-Atch says – reply to this

I can't believe his mom wrote this…how would she accept the fact that her son is living in sin, adopted a Black Baby, and is living with a woman who has done more drugs that Cheech and Chong. Also, Brad living in the past the whole Coke Orgy Hollywood lifestyle … ?

  55. 55

Yay for Jane Pitt!!!!!!!!!! We NEED more people to stand up for Christian values. I have nothing against gays. It is not my place to judge them. It is God who will judge them, and everyone, on Judgement Day. The Bible states marriage is between a man and a woman, not a man and a man or a woman and a woman. If they want a civil union, well maybe so, but not marriage.

  56. 56

Re: for Christian values – Your username is contradictory to your message. If you really were a Christian, you would hold 'love they neighbor' above all else, as Jesus taught. You are standing up for bigoted values, NOT Christian values. And there is a difference, despite the efforts of people like you to blur the lines. If you want to be a bigot, so be it, but stop trying to justify your ugly feelings with christianity, because it's just not working anymore. There are many Christians who manage to lead a moral and loving life without resorting to bigotry and hate. I suggest you try to learn from them. Jesus would be ashamed of you using his message in the name of bigotry.

"VOTE FOR ROMNEY IS A VOTE FOR GOD"……he is mormon They believe that God and Jesus were separate physical people” who dwelled on the earth. God was Jesus’ father, and both men died…..now i understand whyy brad pitt does not believe in god, he has a mentally disturbe mother….

  58. 58

I wonder then what she thinks of her son who has 6 kids and he isn't married to the mother of his children and i also wonder what she thought when her son cheated on his then wife with Miss Jolie. It's people like her son who make a mockery out of marriage not gays.

  59. 59

Good for her, respect her views right Perez???

  60. Jim says – reply to this

You must respect Mrs. Pitt's 1st amendment right, even if you don't agree with her. BTW, Obama has done a horrible job as president.

  61. 61

she has the right to freedom of speech yes and she has the right too to STFU

gay people pay taxes they fight and die for their country they buy things they work sell things they do things to help the community and yet are treated like second class citizens in their own country they deserve the same rights to live life marry and have children and/ or divorce as anyone else…and fight for years with exs … as anyone else

  62. linda says – reply to this

Mormons do not believe that God and Jesus were "separate physical people" who lived on the Earth. They believe that Jesus lived on the Earth (problem with that?) The dicey thing is that Mormons believe that Jesus appeared to people in the Americas.

why do people keep saying she has the right to free speech? NO SHIT, assholes. perez never denied her that right just because he disagreed with her.

  66. 66

Everyone is allowed to have their own opinion, but own up to what your views are and represent. Many of you may feel that gays do not have the right to get married, you are entitled to your feelings, but no matter how nicely you state your views, it is discrimination. To deny someone the same rights that you have simply because they are different, is discrimination.

The irony of this post is that some of you don't want this woman labeled as a discriminator or intolerant, but she sure did label the president. If she wants to support Romney, that's fine, but I have always felt that you don't need to slander one to promote another. She referred to the president as someone who "supports the killing of unborn babies" and basically called him ungodly, simply because he did not hold a public ceremony to mark the National Day of Prayer. Keep in mind, that we are suppose to have separation of church and state. Also, be aware that just because one supports a woman's right to choose, does not mean they support "killing unborn babies". Being pro choice means giving every individual the right to choose for themselves on a situation that will only impact them. That may be the reason why President Barack Hussein Obama did not have a public ceremony for the National Day of Prayer. Your relationship with God, if you believe in a God, is yours alone and I think He or She hears you weather you pray alone or in large groups.
