Katie Holmes Wants Child Support NOW! Game On, Tommy Boy!

| Filed under: Tom CruiseLegal MattersKatie HolmesSuri Cruise

As we've briefly discussed before, Katie Holmes will make her court debut when she goes before the judge on July 17!

Katie will request temporary child support from Tom Cruise. But Tom's team will also be there, ready to petition a temporary visitation order.

Katie's prepared for that, though, with sources saying:

"Katie's legal team will be requesting temporary child support to cover living expenses and the added security she has hired since her split from Tom. Tom's Los Angeles lawyers have officially been given notice. Tom's New York lawyer will appear and it's undetermined at this time if Tom will be in court also because he is currently shooting a movie. His lawyer could also petition the judge for a temporary visitation order at that time. Katie will be in court and ready to testify at the hearing if needed."

And since Katie's been planning this for a while, she already has a huge advantage over Tom's legal team.

We'd bet everything goes in her favor… but then again, you can't mess with the power of Xenu Cruise too much! Ha! ;)

Tommy Boy? Xenu? You're an asshole, Perez. A total asshole. And I'd laugh like hell if the Scientologists made you disappear.

Why should he be forced to pay child support if he's not allowed to see his daughter?

The sexism and just overall anti-male crap when it comes to divorces is nauseating, thankfully we're finally starting to get affirmative action going for men. About time, especially since we've been getting the short end of the stick for a long time now.

Re: NookiesWA – Maybe you got the short end of the stick, but statistically, after a divorce, the lifestyle of the men goes up, while the lifestyle of the women and children goes down. The last 15 years have tried to remedy that inequity so that after a divorce, the child has the same opportunities. Yes, there are cases where men get screwed, but it is still overwhelmingly the other way around.

Re: rosebud99 – The only reason why women get screwed is because they are generally jobless. Statistics show men generally get more lucrative degrees than woman. So when you're a housewife with no work experience or degrees of course women are going to get boned once they are divorced from the person that takes care of them. hence why theres spousal support.

I seriously do not understand how that statistic is possible. If I lose my home, my car in a divorce and then continue having to pay for child support, I don't understand how my lifestyle goes up. Shit, the only thing that would improve would be not having to spend so much money on useless shit (women tend to do)..Pretty much the only plus to that. I honestly feel that statistic is made up bull shit put out by feminists to deter attention away from how women are always favored in divorces and child custody cases and 9 out of 10 men get boned hard 9 out of 10 times in divorces.

Re: rosebud99 – Or some very important factors aren't included or taken into consideration. If the male > female in everything financial. Has a better career, better credentials, better money management..Compared to the woman who was a housewife with a shitty degree or none at all.

If I was a banker and earned 125,000 a year. Had a home that was not paid off, of fucking course my lifestyle would go up after losing a home I never owned, because then the wife would not be able to keep up with the bills, I would move into something more affordable and then only have to pay child support..So yeah, im pretty sure that "statistic" is just a blanket statement for women that are stupid and end up screwing themselves.

Re: NookiesWA – Apparently you do not see any value in being a housewife or a primary care giver. That is a shame. Also, there are so many women who do not get their cases heard in court because they cannot afford a legal battle, or they are afraid their ex will harm them if they take action. This is what happened to me - I tried to get child support, but my wealthy ex simply filed motion after motion after motion, and I could not afford the legal costs and was forced to give up. It happens all the time. I understand your point of view, but I do not understand the hatred you have for all women. You may have had a bad experience, but is it really necessary to hate ALL women?

Re: rosebud99 – I don't hate women, nor do I hate housewives..If I were making enough money I would not want my wife to work. But, I don't think 'housewives' can compare taking care of a child cooking 2 or 3 meals a day and cleaning for a couple hours a real job. Especially when they actually say its harder than working a real job..Thats when I flip

Re: NookiesWA – It depends on your job. I found my job to be a calm oasis compared to looking after toddlers. You must have a tougher job than I did.

I totally agree with NookiesWA. When they come out with those salaries for a housewife of like $77,000 a year, what average guy can afford that?

When Tom gets to see the kid, that is when some support can come her way. And if she is so wealthy, why is she even wanting child support? if you want sole custody, do not expect support. End of discussion.

i got soul custody of my kid. i didnt want cs but i got it anyways. I think the point is she wants him to pay for the kid also. she doesnt want him to hurt the kid and his lifestyle is something she is worried about him doing. If he really wants his kid that badly then he would go through with the visitation right and then ask for more time when that goes well and fight her in court the right way. ONLY the court can take a kid from its parents. so if the COURT finds him to be a bad parent than thats that. i gave my sons father every chance to fight for him to do his ever so fatherly love claim and guess what he was a douche and it showed. so when i got child support yeah i made him pay and i kept it up till he signed off his rights. see thats the beauty of it all tom has to pay cause he still has rights even when she gets soul custody. sucks but its the law and hes gonna have to pay or wait till a new guy is man enough to be a father and take over his rights.

Re: whocareseden – lol..If I were not allowed to see my child, then I would refuse to pay and I would tell the judge to suck my cock, then sue for sexism.

Re: NookiesWA – You're a man. Not a mother, wife, and certainly not a housewife. Don't criticize what you've NEVER done. You don't know the true sacrifice a mother staying at home does. They're are no breaks, holidays, or time off. You're shift is from morning until night. Maybe you've watched too many episodes of the Real Housewives on Bravo. You sound like a very hateful person towards women and I doubt this message will change your mind about women but think before you criticize.

Child support is being asked for Suri and Katie should rightfully be granted that. Court will have to decide the well being for that child. Simple as that. I'm sure when all this clears up Katie will allow some visitations for Tom.

    Re: rosebud99 – See what I mean :P

Re: Pradagirl – What sacrifices? You have to stay with a newborn until they start school, you can then either go to school, do it online or get a part time job while that child is in school for 6 hours. If you seriously think taking care of a single child is harder work and more stressful than doing an actual job and worrying about bills and putting food on the table than you're delusional. When I fuck up at my job, I lose it, then I cannot pay bills or feed my child. What happens when you fail at your job? The kid ends up being a little asshole or a criminal thats about it. Its 2012, people are starting to realize women shouldn't be getting praise for shit anymore. Hurts doesn't it?

  16. 16

Everything is not in Katie's favor. And why should it be? Fathers have rights too to parent their children and it is terrible to try to keep a child from their parent - even if they are into Scientology. Katie is big into it too. 50-50 custody is best is almost all cases except when there is a clearly an unfit parent, Doesn't seem to be the case here.

Re: NookiesWA – Ah. Someone is paying child support and doesn't want to. Re: IvyLeagueBitch – Sometimes making a child sleep 50 percent of the time in one place and 50 percent of their time in another place can be unhealthy for a child especially when that child has already spent 80 percent of her time, routines with one parent. You are taking away that child's sense of security and comfort and sacrificing it for that father who needs his own sense of security and comfort. Suri seems to have always been with Katie unless visiting a set, birthday, vacation, etc. not the day to day. But who knows. I'm pro Suri obviously being with both parents but separately I know Katie will give that girl a day to day she can count on. And that being her always being there.

  18. 18

its weird how the man has to pay for the wife to leave and take the child so he cant see it..

  19. 19

Re: perez posse member 777 – Sexism is fun huh. Funny enough feminists don't even acknowledge this type of shit.
