One Direction's Niall Horan Called Their Fans What?!

Uh oh!

Somebody needs a stick of Orbit…or their mouth washed out with soap!

One Direction’s sole-blond crooner, Niall Horan, was spotted recently at the airport in Dublin, Ireland, where he was greeted by a gaggle of girls!

All seemed to be going fine…that is, until Niall unleashed the c-word at the fans!!!

Check out the moment caught on a Directioner’s phone (above)!!

A shower, though??? LOLz…don’t think we’ve ever heard THAT one before!

Niall later took to his Twitter to apologizing for his remark, tweeting:

"Really sorry if I caused any offense. It was just banter with fans who I think of more as mates. But I understand that it's not a word I should be using at all."

Of course, in different countries, some words are more loosely used than others, but Niall and the rest of the boys should definitely take this as a lesson learned!

Sounds like Simon Cowell might need to have a word or two with the chaps!

I can't unrstand a word any of them are saying.

  2. 2

These guys need to realize that they need to treat their fans well and not act like such douches. That is disrespectful, I don't care how you look at it. These girls are putting millions into their pockets, there is no need to call fans (crazy or not), the "c" word.

its a uk thing! they say the c word all time!

  4. booouuuhorrreee says – reply to this

can you just stfu seriously its annoying he can do what ever he likes ok its his life true directioners would understand niall and why he said that just leave one direction alone ok bye

Re: vaneesa – Maybe to your buddies/friends, not to your fans.

  6. Alison says – reply to this

in the UK, the C word is just a everyday thing like the B word is here with girls…

  7. Stephy1D says – reply to this

In fairness to Niall we use the c word very loosely in ireland. Its used as a joke more than anything and just to have a bit of banter. However saying that, the way he said it was inexcusable and as an Irish fan of One Direction I was surprised with him. There was no need to say it in such an aggressive tone. Nialls going to have to remember he's not that little Irish boy anymore and that people are criticising his every move

  8. Emily STEWART says – reply to this

    i didn't even hear it

  9. Hannah says – reply to this

first of all "vanessa" the REPUBLIC of Ireland is NOT park of the UK ! and secondly , those fans wouldnt have thought anything of it as the "c" word is used quite lightly and playfully here in Ireland , it wasn't his fault someone was recording him , and I'm not even a one direction fan.

  10. 10

um…. I didn't understand one word that those muck-mouthed foreigners said. For people who are "English" they really can't speak very clearly at all. Its a shame that Americans have a better grasp of the language than they do.

    Re: vaneesa

No we don't, it's still a pretty disgusting word here.

  12. Muser says – reply to this

    I didn't even hear it either…

  13. irishgal says – reply to this

It's not a UK thing to say the c***, it's an Irish thing. All my family back home curses and most irish curse like this is endearing.. it's nothing the fans there would be offended by.

  14. Andrea says – reply to this

Okay, well I love One Direction and seriously I'm not bothered by this. Now a days everyone is cursing at each other and if you say he's wrong for doing that and you curse yourself then I don't see what the problem is. He's an 18 year old boy for crying out loud. It's not like he meant it in a bad way. Niall Horan is Niall Horan, a 5'7" Irishman who curses and is not perfect by any means. And if you aren't a directioner you wouldn't understand Niall anyway.

Re: Tash20 – How you can make comments on someones language when you are so clearly an ignorant imbicile is beyond me. "Much mouthed foreigners" Grow up. The topic of discussion was NIall's language not anyone elses. What he said was completely unacceptable but your pretty much on his level with your idiotic response.

  16. 16

Re: vaneesa – he was kidding and those fans knew it! Its the way the Irish speak! The boys are not douches one bit, they care for their fans and love them deeply. The only people to get offended are the 10 year olds who shouldn't like them anyways

  17. Cat says – reply to this

Someone needs to learn some geography AND history! Ireland is NOT park of the UK niall is IRISH. It's a north dublin accent them girls are speaking with and it's a minority. Not all people in IRELAND talk like that. Your post is actually pretty hilarious really. To be fair he shouldnt have said it and it is a very common phrase here but the girls didnt seem to take offence to it so why should any of ye?

  18. 18

LOL! I watched this twice and didn't even hear it. All I could make out was "Happy Birthday, Chelsea." Wish Stephy1D would translate for the rest of us! But if it's there, just not smart or appropriate. Even if it's used loosely like b*tch is here in the states as someone mentioned, it wouldn't be appropriate for a celebrity to call their fans b*tches.

  19. 19

I don't even understand what the hell any of them are saying, and i watched it like 5 times.

  20. onedirectionsgirl says – reply to this

us irish people always say that,we take no offence to it..so like calm down it was a joke!

  21. Catherine says – reply to this

I have a friend from Ireland and right there they always say this word it's not even a bad word for them!

  22. Sammy says – reply to this

Not sure why this is a story at all. He is an 18 year-old who is obviously going to swear sometimes, especially being from Ireland, where the c-word isn't always used in a negative way. He was teasing them and they clearly understood it. He also had already stopped to greet these fans earlier on and took pictures with them.

  23. Stephy1D says – reply to this

Re: Tash20 – first of all you're an absolute fool. Get your facts straight. Not one person in that video is English. They're Irish. We can speak English perfectly even though it's not actually our first language but that's an argument for another day. Just because you can't understand a persons accent does not give you the right to call us "muck mouthed foreigners". Get a grip and go study Irelands history and geography

  24. Stephy1D says – reply to this

Re: summerfox – basically what was said was Niall will you wish me happy birthday and he said remember the last time I walked down here. You shower of you know whats

  25. jakeyplay says – reply to this

Just for the record the C word isn't an acceptable word here in the UK. I find it funny that someone who clearly knows nothing about the UK or Ireland for that matter thinks they can call us foul mouthed. That's like me saying all Americans are fat idiot bible-bashers, and although the people who comment here are usually fat idiot bibe-bashers, I know that that they do not represent all the people of America. It's also funny because most of the verbal abuse/foul language I see on this site is from people in America. So clearly your argument is invalid.

  26. Tammi says – reply to this

Re: Hazel – yeah well it aint in the Uk and ireland, i dont giva if its a 'BAD' word there its used playfully here SO get over it, NIALL STILL RULES x

  27. Katie says – reply to this

The C word is used all of the time there and is mostly used as a positive thing. not a negative thing.

  28. vaneesa says – reply to this

  29. saff says – reply to this

There are some people here in America who for some reason, most probably bad upbringing, have a weird personal vendetta against anyone who isn't American. So to all the non-Americans here, just remember that these people are morons. Plus they spend their time on a website bashing people, and not even a decent site, Perez Hilton! I mean sure get your gossip fix but to make an account purely to hate on other people? It's pathetic. So don't be offended, these weird people are very sad and do not have fulfilling lives and this is their way of dealing with it. Pity them.

  30. beccarooroo says – reply to this

Re: Tash20 – You're so stupid you don't even know the difference between IRISH and ENGLISH. That's like me not knowing the difference between AMERICAN and CANADIAN. Who other country. What a dumbass! Excuse me while I laugh sanctimoniously at your pathetic display of foolery, you ridiculous mewling quim.

  31. Mónica says – reply to this

he call what ? i dont get it :/ is the shower, though ?

  32. D says – reply to this

To all the people freaking out over something that is 1.) Not a big deal and 2.) none of your business… Sorry to be blunt, but I hope you can take a step back and realize that you're completely deluded.

  33. jennifer says – reply to this

    it's called banter people! it's a joke!

  34. Lynda says – reply to this

Gosh, nothing difficult to understand in that at all. Niall speaks with a broad Midlands accents(Mullingar) and the Girls have strong North Dublin accents.

  35. Someone says – reply to this

Re: vaneesa – You don't need to takes this so serious.Jeez

  36. Bobby H says – reply to this

Lol he didn't use the 'C Word' he said 'you shower of whores' It might sound quite harsh to an american audience but its really just an Irishism… Not sure where this talk of the C word has come from…

  37. Someone says – reply to this

Re: Emily STEWART – So now he can't even be himself??

  38. Lynda says – reply to this

"a Shower" is slang for a group of people.

Not a big deal here in Ireland.
Can't understand what all the fuss is about.

Re: saff – and yet here YOU are… also by the way, if you are sooo disgusted with your country, the borders are open, feel free to go find someplace better. Unlike the so called workers paradises, we do not have walls to keep our citizens inside. No one has ever been killed by the border guards for trying to leave, simply grab your shit and walk, ride, or fly away. Or, here's a thought, instead of hiding behind your keyboard whining, get out and do something to change the situation you do not like. We did it back in the day, now it's your turn. LOSER

  40. 40

TRIRD to post this earlier but the censor puke kicked in ,,,apparently you can't post crunt here,,, get the fuck over it people, it's just a fucking word, what INTELLIGENT person gives a shit. of course the qualifier "intelligent" precludes 90% of the posters here.

  41. 41

In the UK the "C" word doesn't have the stigma it has here in the states. It doesn't just refer to women. It is used as an insult like "idiot" or "moron". I listen to Ricky Gervais and know a dew Brits and they use the word quite a lot. I actually don't care. I'm fine with people using it like that. It is when it is used in the "America" context that i have a bit of an issue, but even then… who cares.

  42. ciara says – reply to this

Re: Tash20 – hahaha the're not english they are Irish and the reason you cant understand them is because they have dublin accents and your used to hearing annoying whiney american accents.

  43. jiyeo says – reply to this

is "chealsey" the c word? lol i dont get it. what exactly did he say thats offensive? i ddnt hear anything =/

  44. 44

Re: misscheriamor – It is when it is used in the "America" context that i have a bit of an issue, but even then… who cares."

exactly, it's just a damn word, much like that other word we can't use unless we are black. it is all HORSE SHIT

  45. 1234567890 says – reply to this

    What is the c word ?? -.-
    Nialler <3

  46. Ytzel Flores says – reply to this

Seriously? You need to shut up. It's normal to say that in Ireland. You love to make controversy with little silly things.

  47. 47

    What's the "c" word?

  48. April says – reply to this

I personally see nothing wrong at all. That's probably because I don't get easily offended. But whatever I love Niall and the rest of the boys!! :) <3

  49. 49

sounded like a bunch of gypsies to me.

  50. aTrueDirectioner says – reply to this

this is really bugging me… i watched the video like 15 times and i did not hear any "c" word… someone please tell me what it is! is it crap? please?

  51. holly says – reply to this

  52. carginchick18 says – reply to this

    Re: Tash20

its a shame that coming from an american who has a better grasp of the english language than the english uses the term "muck-mouthed foreigners" when describing an irish fella…….i think its about time you educated yourself and opened your eyes to the different walks of life in the world……he is irish not english…and like most other english speaking countries in the world…ACCENTS ARE DIFFERENT!!..this also occurs in the U.S or do you need educated in that aswell?? And as far as americans having a better grasp of the english language do you live in a bubble…..america is responsible for the "LOL" "TTYL" "AMAZEBALLS" "RIDICK" and the list goes on……i hope next time before you pass judgement on the way us IRISH speak……or any other "foreigners" for that matter you might want to do a little research :D :D

  53. emily22 says – reply to this

Re: it-is-what-it-is – Umm hello Niall considers fans as mates/friends! And as Directioner we REALLY love he actually considers us as friends cuz we think of the boys as our friends so STFU!

  54. emily22 says – reply to this

OMFG Perez "the boys should definitely take this as a lesson learned!" What lesson?! He didn't do anything wrong!!! And "Sounds like Simon Cowell might need to have a word or two with the chaps!" Umm not he shouldn't! Niall is an 18 yr old boy from Ireland, he was joking, and Directioners love it when the boys swear!

  55. Ellielu says – reply to this

This is all very silly. I come from mullingar (Niall Horans hometown) And i can tell you that there he is not saying the C word he is saying "hoors" Which here in ireland is just a bit of fun!! The poor lad.

  56. Ellielu says – reply to this

Re: Tash20 – Those were Irish people!!! pffft americans can't even tell nationalities apart.

  57. Danielle says – reply to this

It might be a disgusting word in your country but in Ireland its not! Ireland Directioners weren't even offended because they know what he meant

  58. 58

we used to use the c word daily it was no diff to the b word or anything else but then u change countrys and everyone is in a uproar.. these boys have no class and no real gloss and no real talent i dont think they can debunk bieber …the one thing they have is numbers but any one of them can be swapped for another talentless lad.. with a foul mouth..and so so looks ..

  59. 59

Since when are there so many irish ppl on this site lol

  60. hayle adams says – reply to this

Re: Emilio Estevez – me either, all i heard was " a shower of c***** !!!!" from Niall!!

  65. Rabia Malik says – reply to this

    O_o i was suprised!!!!

  66. Heather says – reply to this

I thought it was funny as hell that he called them c**** haha I couldn't stop laughing! Directioners shouldn't take offense to that! If Niall Horan calle me a c****, I would start crying tears of happiness. He did call us Mofos too and that was funny :) people need to settle down and IRISH PEOPLE RULE. Your argument is invalid.

  67. WTF? says – reply to this

What I never hurd the C… word in any of this!?? and if he did say it.. its his effing mouth ;)

  68. 4feicsake says – reply to this

A "shower of …" is Irish slang for "you messers". It's a friendly term. It is in no way meant to be disrespectful. If you note not one of the fans was upset or shocked by what he said.

  69. 4feicsake says – reply to this

IrelandRe: vaneesa – Ireland is not part of the UK

  70. Liv says – reply to this

get over it, so what, he swore at them. but that's natural to him and the fans because that's usually how they talk in ireland. it's not disrespectful - its just banter. the fans don't even care, didn't you notice? -sigh-
