One Direction's Niall Horan Called Their Fans What?!

WARNING: STRONG LANGUAGE IN THE CLIP (ABOVE)

Uh oh!

Somebody needs a stick of Orbit…or their mouth washed out with soap!

One Direction’s sole-blond crooner, Niall Horan, was spotted recently at the airport in Dublin, Ireland, where he was greeted by a gaggle of girls!

All seemed to be going fine…that is, until Niall unleashed the c-word at the fans!!!

Check out the moment caught on a Directioner’s phone (above)!!

A shower, though??? LOLz…don’t think we’ve ever heard THAT one before!

Niall later took to his Twitter to apologizing for his remark, tweeting:

"Really sorry if I caused any offense. It was just banter with fans who I think of more as mates. But I understand that it's not a word I should be using at all."

Of course, in different countries, some words are more loosely used than others, but Niall and the rest of the boys should definitely take this as a lesson learned!

Sounds like Simon Cowell might need to have a word or two with the chaps!

I can't unrstand a word any of them are saying.

  2. 2

These guys need to realize that they need to treat their fans well and not act like such douches. That is disrespectful, I don't care how you look at it. These girls are putting millions into their pockets, there is no need to call fans (crazy or not), the "c" word.

    6

in the UK, the C word is just a everyday thing like the B word is here with girls…

  7. Stephy1D says – reply to this

    7

In fairness to Niall we use the c word very loosely in ireland. Its used as a joke more than anything and just to have a bit of banter. However saying that, the way he said it was inexcusable and as an Irish fan of One Direction I was surprised with him. There was no need to say it in such an aggressive tone. Nialls going to have to remember he's not that little Irish boy anymore and that people are criticising his every move

first of all "vanessa" the REPUBLIC of Ireland is NOT park of the UK ! and secondly , those fans wouldnt have thought anything of it as the "c" word is used quite lightly and playfully here in Ireland , it wasn't his fault someone was recording him , and I'm not even a one direction fan.

  10. 10

um…. I didn't understand one word that those muck-mouthed foreigners said. For people who are "English" they really can't speak very clearly at all. Its a shame that Americans have a better grasp of the language than they do.

No we don't, it's still a pretty disgusting word here.

It's not a UK thing to say the c***, it's an Irish thing. All my family back home curses and most irish curse like this is endearing.. it's nothing the fans there would be offended by.

  14. Andrea says – reply to this

    14

Okay, well I love One Direction and seriously I'm not bothered by this. Now a days everyone is cursing at each other and if you say he's wrong for doing that and you curse yourself then I don't see what the problem is. He's an 18 year old boy for crying out loud. It's not like he meant it in a bad way. Niall Horan is Niall Horan, a 5'7" Irishman who curses and is not perfect by any means. And if you aren't a directioner you wouldn't understand Niall anyway.

Re: Tash20 – How you can make comments on someones language when you are so clearly an ignorant imbicile is beyond me. "Much mouthed foreigners" Grow up. The topic of discussion was NIall's language not anyone elses. What he said was completely unacceptable but your pretty much on his level with your idiotic response.

  16. 16

Re: vaneesa – he was kidding and those fans knew it! Its the way the Irish speak! The boys are not douches one bit, they care for their fans and love them deeply. The only people to get offended are the 10 year olds who shouldn't like them anyways

  17. Cat says – reply to this

    17

    @Tash20
Someone needs to learn some geography AND history! Ireland is NOT park of the UK niall is IRISH. It's a north dublin accent them girls are speaking with and it's a minority. Not all people in IRELAND talk like that. Your post is actually pretty hilarious really. To be fair he shouldnt have said it and it is a very common phrase here but the girls didnt seem to take offence to it so why should any of ye?

  18. 18

LOL! I watched this twice and didn't even hear it. All I could make out was "Happy Birthday, Chelsea." Wish Stephy1D would translate for the rest of us! But if it's there, just not smart or appropriate. Even if it's used loosely like b*tch is here in the states as someone mentioned, it wouldn't be appropriate for a celebrity to call their fans b*tches.

  19. 19

I don't even understand what the hell any of them are saying, and i watched it like 5 times.

    21

I have a friend from Ireland and right there they always say this word it's not even a bad word for them!

  22. Sammy says – reply to this

    22

Not sure why this is a story at all. He is an 18 year-old who is obviously going to swear sometimes, especially being from Ireland, where the c-word isn't always used in a negative way. He was teasing them and they clearly understood it. He also had already stopped to greet these fans earlier on and took pictures with them.

  23. Stephy1D says – reply to this

    23

Re: Tash20 – first of all you're an absolute fool. Get your facts straight. Not one person in that video is English. They're Irish. We can speak English perfectly even though it's not actually our first language but that's an argument for another day. Just because you can't understand a persons accent does not give you the right to call us "muck mouthed foreigners". Get a grip and go study Irelands history and geography

Re: summerfox – basically what was said was Niall will you wish me happy birthday and he said remember the last time I walked down here. You shower of you know whats

    25

Just for the record the C word isn't an acceptable word here in the UK. I find it funny that someone who clearly knows nothing about the UK or Ireland for that matter thinks they can call us foul mouthed. That's like me saying all Americans are fat idiot bible-bashers, and although the people who comment here are usually fat idiot bibe-bashers, I know that that they do not represent all the people of America. It's also funny because most of the verbal abuse/foul language I see on this site is from people in America. So clearly your argument is invalid.

    27

The C word is used all of the time there and is mostly used as a positive thing. not a negative thing.

  29. saff says – reply to this

    29

There are some people here in America who for some reason, most probably bad upbringing, have a weird personal vendetta against anyone who isn't American. So to all the non-Americans here, just remember that these people are morons. Plus they spend their time on a website bashing people, and not even a decent site, Perez Hilton! I mean sure get your gossip fix but to make an account purely to hate on other people? It's pathetic. So don't be offended, these weird people are very sad and do not have fulfilling lives and this is their way of dealing with it. Pity them.

"a Shower" is slang for a group of people.

Not a big deal here in Ireland.
Can't understand what all the fuss is about.

  39. 39

Re: saff – and yet here YOU are… also by the way, if you are sooo disgusted with your country, the borders are open, feel free to go find someplace better. Unlike the so called workers paradises, we do not have walls to keep our citizens inside. No one has ever been killed by the border guards for trying to leave, simply grab your shit and walk, ride, or fly away. Or, here's a thought, instead of hiding behind your keyboard whining, get out and do something to change the situation you do not like. We did it back in the day, now it's your turn. LOSER

  40. 40

TRIRD to post this earlier but the censor puke kicked in ,,,apparently you can't post crunt here,,, get the fuck over it people, it's just a fucking word, what INTELLIGENT person gives a shit. of course the qualifier "intelligent" precludes 90% of the posters here.

  41. 41

In the UK the "C" word doesn't have the stigma it has here in the states. It doesn't just refer to women. It is used as an insult like "idiot" or "moron". I listen to Ricky Gervais and know a dew Brits and they use the word quite a lot. I actually don't care. I'm fine with people using it like that. It is when it is used in the "America" context that i have a bit of an issue, but even then… who cares.

    Re: Tash20

its a shame that coming from an american who has a better grasp of the english language than the english uses the term "muck-mouthed foreigners" when describing an irish fella…….i think its about time you educated yourself and opened your eyes to the different walks of life in the world……he is irish not english…and like most other english speaking countries in the world…ACCENTS ARE DIFFERENT!!..this also occurs in the U.S or do you need educated in that aswell?? And as far as americans having a better grasp of the english language do you live in a bubble…..america is responsible for the "LOL" "TTYL" "AMAZEBALLS" "RIDICK" and the list goes on……i hope next time before you pass judgement on the way us IRISH speak……or any other "foreigners" for that matter you might want to do a little research :D :D
