Amazon Is Venturing Into iPhone Territory With A New Smartphone

Watch out Apple! You've got more than just the Microsoft Surface tablet to worry about.

Amazon is developing a new smartphone with a Chinese mobile phone company!

On top of the internet giant's alliance with Foxconn International Holdings Ltd., Amazon is meeting with various companies to acquire wireless patents so they avoid more lawsuits over illegal use of technology.

Will U stay loyal to Steve Jobs' vision or consider switching over to what will most likely be a less expensive product?

I depend so much on my iOS apps for day to day organization, and have invested so much money into them, at this point I'd say "you'll have to pry my iPhone and iPad out of my cold dead fingers". People just getting into the market of smartphones might be happy with an amazon phone but I think they're showing up too late to the game to garner much attention.

Agreed with Autumn255 - the secret to winning a hardware war is with software - the Apple OS is integrated into so many lives and I will not give it up for anything now it will be hard to displace in the marketplace brands. btw…And no one is worried about Microsoft Surface..

Am I the only one who remembers what Perez said about the Ipad before it came out? He said it would be a disaster and to remember the Newton!

Not exactly the tech opinion I value.

Sorry do not have a smartphone, they are too complicated for this senior to manage.
