Disney Is Making Hocus Pocus TWO?!

Hocus Pocus

Holy Thackery Binx!!! SO MANY EMOTIONS!!!

The best Halloween movie of all time (sorry Tim Burton) is getting re-made!

If you don't know what we're tailing about, your parents didn't love you we'll give you a little Hocus Pocus backstory: It's about three awesome witches that are brought back from hell accidentally by a meddling virgin. Once back, the witches must suck the souls of all the neighborhood kids to stay young. Naturally, they are thwarted before doing so.

More importantly, it introduced a new generation to Bette Midler and Sarah Jessica Parker. Life. Changing.

The remake has some pretty big, fabulous, pointy-toes shoes to fill, and what we've heard isn't super promising.

All we really know is the flick's title, Hocus Pocus 2 : Rise of the Elderwitch. We can assume from the title that there is a new villain. Since the kids who saved the day — Vinessa Shaw, Thora Birch, and Omri Katz– are now all grown up, they'll probs not be involved in the movie either.

We're not completely sold on Hocus Pocus remake with a whole new cast running amok (Amok, amok, amok, amok, amok!), but that seems to be the plan.

We haven't lost all hope yet!

If Disney can at least get the talking cat and Bette on board, we could totes get behind it! Or, as Winifred would say:

"Hello, I want my book remake. Bonjour, je veux mon livre um, remake."

    i love the original movie.

  2. 2

    zero originality in hollywood

"More importantly, it introduced a new generation to Bette Midler and Sarah Jessica Parker. Life. Changing. " if this changed your life,,, you had NO LIFE

Noooo, they have to leave the classics alone! Ugh, you can't remake that sort of magic that Hocus Pocus had, plus they'd ruin it by sanitizing everything for the parents who think kids can't handle anything and it would just ruin the reputation of the original.

So is it a remake or a sequel? You seem not to understand the difference between the two.

  5. 5

This movie is great - it does not need updating.

Call me a kid forever … but I loved this movie! I can't believe they would remake it … would love to see the original sisters come back, but per the story line they couldn't … but then again … it is witchcraft :-)

Hollywood can't leave anything alone, can they? Based on the title, it looks like a sequel instead of a remake, but come on! They're messing with a beloved film. All you have to do is look at the many other horrible sequels that tarnished the name of the original film to know that this isn't a good idea.

    Remake - NO!
    Sequal - YES!

DO YOU HAVE ANY EFFIN IDEA HOW LONG I'VE WAITED TO SEE/HEAR THOSE WORDS!!! A Hocus Pocus Sequel. It's NOT a remake. If the Title is correct. It's def a sequel or a different story. Since there's no other info. I am not holding very much hope that this is legit, you know how Perez is.

FYI did you folks forget that Bette Midler and the rest of the witches all died in the original?! So a Sequel is not possible.

  13. 13

"Hocus Pocus 2: Rise of the Elderwitch".

  14. 14

Hey, Idiot Boy. Sequel is not the same thing as a reboot or a remake. It's a new story based on pre-existing characters and/or storyline. I know they all died in the first one but it isn't to say they couldn't figure up something. Sadly, Sarah Jessica hasn't aged all that well, so I don't see how she could pull off a flashback scene.

IF she were to star in this movie, she would need NO MAKE-UP, ash she is one FUGLY HAG…All she would have to do is bring back that big mole. She already has a BIG NOSE….and a Face Like A Foot. Google: Sarah Jessica Parker, face like a foot, and see for yerself ! LOL ! It is to laugh !

Dear Disney: LEAVE CLASSICS ALONE!!!!! seriously…

NOT EXCITED… Nothing Disney can do will top the original. Without the original cast it makes absolutely no sense… and if they dont have the original Sanderson Sisters then forget it!!

Re: raypearson – Ray…Hollywood has been remaking movies since 1913….(AKA BASICALLY THE BEGINNING) just because they're remaking doesn't mean orignality has been lost especially as some remakes (the 80's fly, and John Carptners the Thing) have been awesome.
