Mary Kennedy's Suicide Wasn't Fueled By Booze!

As you may remember, 52-year-old Mary Kennedy committed suicide last month by hanging.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr's late wife had battled depression and alcohol addiction for quite some time, but toxicology reports confirm alcohol played no part in her death.

But anti-depressants did…

According to the Westchester County medical examiner, Trazodone, Desmethylvenlafaxine and Venlafaxine were all found in Mary's system at the time of death.

So so sad.

We wish her family all the peace in the world. Rest in peace, Mary…

She DID NOT "BATTLE" depression and alcohol addiction; she battled a lying & cheating Kennedy!

THe two meds she was on are normal for anxiety and depression. Not at all uncommon totake them together. I am curious to know how much was found in her system and if it was a normal dosage. If it was a normal dosage then maybe the hanging was done by someone else.

two normally used antidepressants and a sleep aid. I take all three.

BIG FUCKING DEAL, you continue to mislead your readers, fucking pig

Trazodone (sleep aid these days, old school Anti-Depressant with little benefit) Pristiq (anti-depressant) and Effexor (anti-depressant) are the brand names of the very common anti-depressants that were prescribed to this woman. The author made sure to use big word-chemica names to trick you, the reader, into blindly accepting that anti-depressants are bad and will lead you to hang yourself. This is bullshit. What isn't is that depression is real and sometimes medication doesn't work. No one knows what this woman's life was like or why she made that decision. But it's highly doubtful, seriously less that 5% of a chance it was caused by the combination of meds she was on.

I would still not rule out MURDER
He wanted to get rid of her, like they wanted to get rid of Mary jo, like they wanted to get rid of Marilyn, like they wanted to get rid of Peter Lawford

I wonder how Ethel is doing ?

psych number one result of taking antidepressants is suicide. they can make you MORE suicidal than before

Its more than a little irresponsible to insinuate that antidepressants played a role in her death.

So quick to believe it was a suicide. Do you really believe that someone isn't capable of making a death look so common as suicide. So many Kennedy's died some weird death and the ones who associated with some so called " Overdose". Its a little fishy to me

This is a woman that constantly threatened suicide as a way to terrorize her own children. She finally succeeded.

Re: raypearson – Ray, maybe you should just go away instead of being so horrible here. Don't you want a happy life? Constantly posting on Perez's site is never going to bring you to a happy place. Nothing he ever discusses is going to have a positive reaction from you.

I am sick of all the negativity! It is actually quite ironic how so many of you are being this negative…about an article of a woman who died.
I highly doubt that Perez is trying to say that anti-depressants are "bad." Look, it is his site, his article. If you have a problem, I am asking you…get off. Get off. Get off. Get off. Get off like a sex-addict - SUPER FAST.
