Spider-Man Weekend Numbers Were Amazing… Compared To Other Reboots

We knew Spider-Man was destined for solid numbers but we never expected it to beat rad reboots like X-Men: First Class and Casino Royale!
Making $65 mil domestically this weekend, Andrew Garfield even gave dark knight's a web facial!
His film earned a third more than Christian Bale's Batman Begins.
Still, Peter Parker's profits don't compare to The Avengers or even Prometheus and Spidey will certainly be outdone by The Dark Knight Rises.
Only ten years removed from Tobey Maguire's dance with a radioactive arachnid, we're surprised audiences enjoyed a nearly identical origin story.
Perhaps it's Garfield and Emma Stone's real life chemistry that kept theaters packed?
Do U think they are a seksier onscreen couple than Tobey and Kirsten Dunst??

Huh? Spidey has already outgrossed Prometheus…please do your homework on box office. Yesterday you said Avengers was the top-grossing film ever…
he (Perez) knows not what he says anymore, however, his chosen crew are great apes! Sound just like him and all of his bias opinions. He will have an opinion when he realizes most of us are straight and have no issues until a flaming nelly tries to impose his on us! I believe you have set back gays for years. Such a shame for a psuedo advocate!
You can't fairly compare the Amazing Spider-Man to films like Batman Begins and X-Men: First Class. The Amazing Spider-Man was realeased in 3D, which makes much more money because the price is jacked up. Neither Batman Begins or X-Men: FC were 3D movies. If they had been, they would have made about the same as Spider-Man.
