We hear the former will feature footage of the punk band before they hit it big with 1994's Dookie, as Billie Joe Armstrong told sources:
"It's not going to be the sitting down, head shot of me going, 'We started out blah blah blah.' We wanted to get into lifestyles of rock 'n' roll and playing rock n roll and letting the story kind of tell itself rather than create revisionist (history)."
Vintage Green Day? We like! Execs at their record label are hoping that the rock doc will be ready in less than a year so it can premiere at the next Sundance Film Festival.
