Gleeks — if you weren’t lucky enough to make it to Comic-Con this year, we’ve got you covered!
The Hilton Bayfront’s Indigo Ballroom in San Diego was where it all went down Saturday night, when executive producers Brad Falchuk, Ian Brennan and Dante Di Loreto sat alongside Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Naya Rivera, Darren Criss, Kevin McHale and Jenna Ushkowitz for Glee's panel!!
While we previously gave you SOME spoilers, Glee’s Comic-Con panel revealed oh SO much more!!!
As we know, Rachel’s attending NYADA, Finn is gearing up for boot camp, Amber’s going to L.A., Harry is headed towards Chicago, Quinn is off to Yale and Santana is shipping off to Louisville!
That leaves Puck most likely headed to L.A. and we NOW know season four will begin with Kurt still at McKinley!
So where does that leave The Glee Project season one winner, Damian McGinty?
Exec. Producer Brad Falchuk revealed:
"Damian is not back this year. The second half of the season, who knows. Right now, he won't be in the first half of the season."
Oh no…we thought EVERYBODY loved our little Irish lad!
Sounds like Damian’s fellow winner, Samuel Larsen, however WILL be back, along with The Glee Project’s Alex Newell and good ol’ trouty mouth, Chord Overstreet!
Now that we’ve got all the casting deets out of the way, let’s get into some plotlines, shall we?!
Season three left us with a preggers Sue Sylvester and now, it seems season four will start with her already have given birth, yet still unsure of who the father is!
However, don’t think a baby is going to change the Sue we’ve all grown to love!
Exec. Producer Ian Brennan assured:
"She's now Sue with a baby and a different set of priorities but still can't help but make fun of everyone as often as possible."
As assumed, the fourth season will kick off at the start of the school year, in September, going back and forth between McKinley High and NYADA.
And, as we previously mentioned, Kurt will STILL be at the high school, helping Mr. Schue fill the empty slots of New Directions, while figuring out how to map out HIS future.
Since Kurt is still back in Ohio, that means more time with Blaine…at least, for a little bit longer!
"The inevitable of a long-distance relationship produces a lot of interesting conflict. … God forbid if they break up, that's going to be quite bit of conflict. The new format of the show is going to shake a lot of stuff up."
Producers, however, hinted at Kurt heading to NYC to link back up with Rachel, his BFF!
As for Rachel’s fate at NYADA? Well, it sounds like she’ll have to get used to being a small fish in a big pond or, as Lea stated:
"Now she's in a school with 1,800 other Rachel Berrys."
Recurring guest star, Kate Hudson, will be Rachel’s teacher, who will serve up a TOUGH dose of reality for the Broadway hopeful!
That leaves us with Finn, Rachel’s high school sweetheart — who’s expected to head off to the Army — leaving Rachel to contemplate where their relationship stands and if she should just move on.
Season four also begins with Santana at the University of Louisville as a cheerleader, and with her and Brittany’s relationship in a “good spot.”
Speaking of Brittany — the show’s second Britney Spears episode will be the SECOND ep of the season, highlighting Rachel and Brittany, of course!
So what about Mr. Schue and Emma? Season three might’ve ended with an engagement but we unfortunately won’t be seeing the two waltz down the aisle at the beginning of the season!
And, in even MORE casting news, it sounds like in ADDITION to Puck’s little brother and Rachel’s mysterious roommate, producers are definitely looking to “repopulate the choir room” with new talent!
Oh and did we mention Nene Leakes will be back, as well?!
While Coach Roz will make her return as Sue’s nemesis, it’s sounding like the two will eventually team up to take down Principal Figgins! LOLz!
Wow…Glee’s producers definitely aren’t messing around this season! We don’t know if we’ll be able to hold off until its premiere on September 13!!!
