We had heard the rumblings…and luckily for us, they turned out ROARING right into a reality!
During Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim discussion at this year's 2012 Comic Con Festival, he surprised audiences with a brief, unexpected teaser for the upcoming Godzilla reboot, which as far we knew hadn't panned past the promotional design art released two years ago at the very same panel!
And that's not all! We've got a teaser poster, too!
Ch-ch-check it out (above)!
Pretty vague, right?
Well, apparently, so was the footage - which pretty much just depicted a destroyed urban landscape before a mere GLIMPSE of our little beastie appeared!
But according to director Gareth Edwards, we have nothing to fear, as he explains:
"There's nothing sci-fi, it's very grounded and realistic. I've never worked this long and this hard on something that lasted just a few seconds since, since I lost my virginity."
HA! That's AH-mazing!
And although we're excited to hear that this version of our monster friend will be grounded in reality…isn't that what they tried with the 1998 Matthew Broderick disaster?!
Agh! Who knows?
We'll be pumped so long as there's no Godzuki! HA!
How about U?? Are U excited for a new, and hopefully improved, Godzilla?
