Good-Bye, Xenu! Katie Holmes Enrolls Suri In Catholic School!

Another position step in the emancipation of Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise!

Now that the actress and Tom Cruise have successfully split and settled out of the courtroom, the actress has actively started re-establishing her life away from the claws of Scientology and her telekinetic ex-husband…by enrolling her daughter in Manhattan's Convent of the Sacred Heart School!

Yeah! The exact same program that educated the likes of Lady GaGa, Jordana Brewster, and Nicky Hilton!

And although she may not be forced to mold clay locked down on some Xenu ship for the next ten years, she WILL be required to attend mass every Thursday come September!

But hey!

Gurl may not enjoy it now, but we have a feeling once she gets a little older and understands just what exactly her mother had to do to ensure her a normal, healthy childhood, little Suri will be VERY grateful!

From one sect to another. :(

  2. 2

Enough with the Xenu crap, Perez. What might have been amusing once is just old and tired now. We get that you're afraid of Scientology. I think that everyone should shun all cults and religions, but that's a personal choice. You, however, never learn to shut up BEFORE people get tired of you and your stupidity. This is why your fan base is drying up. It's too bad you're too fucking dumb to figure things out.

  3. 3

Re: overthere – Exactly. Catholicism is no improvement. Both "religions" are controlling entities that are money hungry. Neither is truthful or useful.

  4. 4

Re: overthere – My thoughts exactly. I know she's trying to do the best for Suri but I'm not sure this was the best idea. Hopefully it's just a bad rumor.

Trading one fantasyland for another isn't a great deal of progress.

Its funny how Perez is always preaching tolerence of others yet cannot do the same for Scientology. So maybe its different than what most are used to, so what? That's their religion and should be respected. Dont pick and choose who to be tolerant of ,respect everyone.

  7. 7

I don't see how you can slam Scientology but praise Catholicism. It is no more legitimate than Scientology - just older. Poor Suri is going from the frying pan to the fire. At least main stream religions are easier to leave if you so choose.

  8. 8

Ridiculous. She's such a bitch, how pompous
to decide that her "religion" is any better
than Tom's and prevent him from his 50 percent
    choice.

to Catholicism the gay hating religion…you're all for this because…?

  10. 10

Re: Yes You Bore Me – I think Catholicism is slightly better because at least they don't stalk you if you decide to leave. (Only slightly though)

  11. 11

Catholicism seems as nutty as Scientology.

  12. 12

Why can you compare the 2? I am neither but I will educate you. 1 is lazy. I did go to Catholic school and it was more rowdy than public, the parents just had more money. Scientologists don't do ANYTHING unless Scientology is involved. It is possible to be a little Catholic it is not possible to be a little Scientologist…….there you go. A "Hilton" would never make it in a Xenu school, the fact that one made it out of school is amazing.

  13. 13

From one religious institution to the next that's a little effed. Is there a particular reason why she couldn't just go to a normal non-religious affiliated school like nightingale, spence, or brearley in nyc? I went to an all girls catholic private in NYC. I just think that given the circumstances that Katie should be a little conscious of what her child is exposed to right now.

  14. 14

Why are people acting as if the Catholic religion is a cult? That's so ignorant. What is Judaism, Greek Orthodox, Baptist…etc. All cults? Are people supposed to believe in nothing?

Catholic school may be more normal but I wouldn't go so far as to say its healthy. I have a feeling Suri just went from the frying pan and into the fire. Poor kid. No hope a normal life, really.

    Re: mrscanada
yes, they are all cults. how about believing in yourself? why do people have to believe in ANY mythical deity.

  19. 19

Re: mrscanada – Just because a person is not religious, does not mean they believe in nothing. I am an atheist. I believe in the power of the human conscience. I believe in being good to other people. I believe that I do not have all the answers. I believe that some things in life are random and there is no explanation. I do not believe that everything happens for a reason, I believe that when something happens it is up to us to learn from it and find a way to use that experience to make us better people. I believe in taking responsibility for our actions, and not using a deity as reason for our actions. I could go on and on, but my point is that it is very possible to have a good belief system without religion.

And yet, I wouldn't quite call Catholic school "normal" for everyone, either, Perez. My childhood schooling consisted of average schools without the religious impact and I am fine. Why do people think a religion-based school is going to make a person better? It's about the morals you help instill on the child, not the religion.

  22. 22

What's wrong with non-religiously associated school? Wouldn't that make things a whole lot less complicated in this situation?

    24

I'm no fan of the Catholics but last time I checked they didn't deprive you of sleep for 3 days, withhold food and water, and put you in "the hole" for months for making some sort of insignificant mistake. Please do some research on Scientology before comparing it to any other religious belief. You'd be shocked and horrified, and I don't belong to any sort of organized religion or cult. I have done significant research on the cult after a friend's sister got involved years ago.

  25. 25

Re: isolde – wtf are you talking about? Catholic priests have been raping little boys for years and the higher ups sweep it under the rug. How is that better?

  26. e-dub says – reply to this

    26

Suri is fvcked with either parent. One cult to another. Well she might be okay because the priest only touch little boys.

  27. 27

I don't think you should be printing the name of her school.

    Re: rosebud99 – Agree!

Re: mrscanada – Exactly…I agree with you. I went to 12 years of Catholic school. I was taught discpline, manners, respect. College was a breeze because of the good foundation I received. It was not ALL religion, all day long.

hahah I don't know if Katie's wants to Suri to believe in Catholicism or what but.. This sure sounds like a big fuck you to Scientology..

  31. 31

Good article!! Some posters here think they can lump all religions into one way of thinking but truthfully, you cannot compare the insanity of Scientology to Catholicism- you just can't. I know. After being raised a Catholic in a fringe Catholic family, I became disenchanted when I became an young adult. I quickly fell hook, line and sinker for Scientology and all it's tricks and false promises and stayed for 18 years before coming to my senses and escaping by the grace of God unharrassed. Now, I did not return to the Catholic Church when I left. I went and retraced my education and beliefs in religion and came to conclusions on my own. The result was that I regained my christian roots and love of the God of my childhood. This has served me well in healing from the insanity of scientology and for day to day life. That said, I can truely appreciate and respect what Katie is doing here and why. I am so happy she is free to make her own choices again :)

  34. 34

Not a Catholic but have attended many massees with a former friend who is Catholic and I really liked the ritual about it - of course I could not take Communion.

  35. 35

I could go on and on and on about how I feel about the Catholic religion… ("man" as God, and "woman" as the whore he saves, etc.,) BUT instead I'll just go from my intuition on this one:
Suri's in a SCHOOL with other KIDS. Kids who aren't brainwashed into believing they need to sign their lives over to drudgery and work for a million lifetimes. Kids who aren't treated as though they are mini-adults and are instead allowed to be children. Kids who will have all sorts of different opinions and backgrounds and ideas about life, and kids who will hopefully open up Suri's mind with their own individual beliefs…
And yeah, as a few others have mentioned, it's a HECK OF A LOT EASIER TO LEAVE A CATHOLIC SCHOOL THAN A SCIENTOLOGY COMPOUND.

Ugh!!! She's gonna subject a 6 year old to a boring weekly mass. How about a private school with no religious affiliation?

  39. 39

    "telekinetic ex-husband" hahahahahaaa

    FROM ONE CULT TO ANOTHER my ex was a strict catholic he smoked pot and drank and chainsmoked all week but without fail attendance at church on sunday where he met and sneaked around for over a year with a catholic slut all ugly and wirey haired inbred all the while claiming I WAS evil…an called me a ;hypocrite ;
    bcos i wasnt catholic..

i fail to see how this is any better or less mind fucking than xenu…

    leave suris brain alone

  40. 40

exactly lets not even start on the pedophillia of the catholic church

  41. 41

What the hell is Katie's problem, way to fuck that little kid's mind. What makes her think catholism is any better than scientology? She should let her daughter go to a normal (well hollywood celebrity kind of normal) school.

okay , i'm sick of this, I'm a Catholic and I've been to Catholic schools my whole life , I'm no different to my friends of different faiths or of no faith at all , I do not "hate gays" , I was never raised that way , I was raised in the Catholic faith to love and respect everyone ALSO everyone talking about the scandal within the Church , Yes I agree what happened was disgusting and immoral but that was a handful of corrupt people , not every Catholic believes in that (cont,)

  44. Hannah says – reply to this

    44

, that Catholic faith does not teach that , the people who committed those crimes deserve to be punished but DON'T paint the whole religion with the same brush . ALSO , it is NOT a cult , you do not need to attend mass or be directly involved in the Church to consider yourself a Catholic , you can leave the faith as you wish without questioning , it teachers people the Christian values and gives us hope in something to believe in , "auditing" and stuff like that does NOT go on in the Church ,other peoples opinions are respected , thats like saying because there was a number of murders in ,lets say , New York , that EVERYONE from New York is crazy or a murderer , which obviously isnt true . It is also NOT a cult , as you can dress the way like and voice your opinions , my friend is gay and is a strong Catholic because if you actually read the bible it says NOTHING about homosexuality being wrong !From a young age , my parents have allowed me to ask questions about my faith and gave answers the best they good . I was also an alter server and so were my brothers and not once did we have a bad experience with any of the priests and Bishops we served with , they're normal people too . But yes , the People in charge of the Church have made terrible decisions in regards to what happened but do not brand every member of the Catholic faith the same way. So please , go ahead , debate me for hours about the bible , a book you've never read.

Re: Hannah – Thank you Hannah - well said. The Catholic church is no cult, and people can come and go as they wish. I've never been to a Mass where there were any anti-Gay or homophobic statements made. My best childhood friend died of AIDS 20 years ago and was given a right and proper Catholic burial out of our childhood parish - no worries about being branded anything but a good and kind human being. Plus, he hadn't even been to Mass much in years, it didn't matter. People need to get their facts straight.
