Hitchcock To Direct Next Harry Potter Film? Unlikely! But The Munsters Might Not Suck!

It was a Munster mash at Comic-Con 2012!
Series creator Bryan Fuller premiered a four-minute clip of his pilot for the reboot of the popular 1960s TV show which stars Portia de Rossi and Jerry O'Connell as the heads of the monstrous family!
Fuller spoke to the Comic Con panel about his goals for the pilot. He said:
"I'm not afraid of reboots and reimaginations, I'm afraid of bad ones… I thought now was a good time to see a show about a family of monsters doing monsterous things."
Hmm. Why is now a good time??
The show runner explained:
"There is no traditional family anymore — it doesn't exist because there are so many different types of families… This is about embracing the freak of your family and being proud."
Ahh, we get it! A metaphor for non-traditional households.
So it'll be Modern Family crossed with, uhh, Buffy the Vampire Slayer?
Actually, Fuller has more specific aspirations. He continued:
"We wanted this to look like if Hitchcock was directing a Harry Potter film."
Alfred Hitchcock doing Harry Potter??
Now THAT would be amazing!!
