Brad Pitt's Mom Just Keeps Force-Feeding Her Christian Beliefs Onto Angelina Jolie! Buys The Couple A Bible For Their Wedding!

| Filed under: Icky Icky PooBrad PittAngelina JolieWedding Waltz

Oh man.

This should go over REEEEEAL well.

Things between Angelina Jolie and her future mother-in-law, Jane Pitt, have been pretty frosty since Brad's mom openly condemned homosexuality and abortion in a letter to her local newspaper endorsing Mitt Romney's campaign for Presidency, but now, we have a feeling that things are going to get even WORSE!

That's right, Mama Pitt has apparently decided to go and buy her son and his betrothed a $130 Bible from Mardel Christian & Education…which has "Angelina" embossed across the cover!

According to salesperson Kris Burnett:

“It was a special wedding gift. We prayed with Brad’s mom and sister over the Bible, asking the Lord to lead the way in Brad and Angelina’s life.”

Oh for goodness sake!

But should we even be surprised?

So nice of her to try and shove HER beliefs down Angie's throat…and at her own wedding, no less!

Once again, this woman is proving just how deeply intolerant she is of ANYONE else with a conflicting viewpoint or lifestyle - just in a horribly passive-aggressive and DISRESPECTFUL fashion!

Such a shame! Especially because at the end of the day, this will only further damage her relationship with her son and grandchildren!

I am wondering why in our culture it is fine to support abortion and gay rights but if you are against them you are cramming things down people's throat.
How very one sided. If I chose to abhor abortion and homosexuality isn't that my right? Just like it is yours to support it. Grow up Perez, here in American we are allowed to have our own options. If you want to live in a country where there is only one opinion then feel free to leave!

  2. WAHHHHHHHH! says – reply to this

you mean like you force feed your shit on everyone??? stfu

  3. 3

IF she really did buy them a bible AND it was not a welcomed gift, then she crossed the line. We don't know the actual truth, so I hate when people ASSume stupid shit like this.

  4. 4

Brad's mom is crossing the line, and so what? Ignore her. I don't like people forcing religion on me, I just WALK AWAY. It's not a make or break deal UNLESS Brad agrees with his mom, which I don't think he does. This story is such bullshit. You are just trying to make worse than the Mom by printing this bullshit. You need to change more than she does. Listen up Perez. Peoples' religious views are their business and their business only. NOT YOURS and not for the world to hear about. You make me sick. But you get paid well for posting this nonsense. Someday you will pay the price. Believe me. You live your life off the backs of others. Never good.

  5. 5

You really want to talk about SHOVING someone else's beliefs down other peoples throats?

  6. WAHHHHHHHH! says – reply to this

kind of like how deeply intolerant you are of Christian beliefs??? OMG! your hipocrisy knows no limits does it???? you're such an asshole

  7. mktb says – reply to this

What a bitch. I would just let her keep her "gift".

  8. v says – reply to this

Don't you do the same thing Perez? shove your beliefs down others throats? Just because she is against gay marriage does not mean she hates gay people. And since you are suggesting Angelina and Brad try to change his mother's mind, wouldn't they be hypocritical because they aren't tolerant of her beliefs. Yes you are for gay rights as are most Americans, but you are equally as intolerant as those you oppose. This is America, she has a right to her own religious beliefs, a right to freely speak about her beliefs and a right to buy her kid a Bible for his wedding. She is not a hate monger just because she doesn't agree with you and it's absolutely crass and immature of you to spew false accusations like that against her towards many of your readers who are impressionable.

  9. 9

I'm sure Pitts Mom follows every line of what the old thick book says, right? Ah… Some People in their funny behaviors to try to look better than others. I'm glad she got a wonderful son anyways !

  10. 10

Re: nursesRgr8 – Because your opinion is one based in hate and trying to force other people to do what you want them to do. If you "support abortion and gay rights," you aren't stopping anyone from doing anything they might want to do or be. You don't have to have an abortion. You don't have to be gay. Your opinion is designed to stop people from having abortions and being gay. BIG difference.

  11. 11

Why do religious nuts always want to force their superstitions down other people's throats? Keep your fairy tale beliefs to yourself in your own home or church. No one else should have to listen to them. Where are people's rights to be free from religion?

  12. 12

Re: nursesRgr8 – Because people who are against abortion and homosexuality often want legislation making abortion and same sex marriage illegal - which is inflicting those beliefs on others. That makes it more than just an opinion. It makes it oppression. Believe what you want, have your own opinion, but please don't try, through legislation, to stop others from living their lives as they see fit.

  13. 13

I don't believe this. Not at all. But if Jane Pitt DID buy them a bible, she's FREE to do so whether you approve or not. If you had your way, you'd force everyone to accept that playing butt darts is normal, and it's not. I'm very glad that you CAN'T for it. It's called FREEDOM. You ought to get acquainted with the concept sometime, loser.

  14. meg says – reply to this

Leave her alone!!! You believe what you want and let her have her beliefs. If she wants to buy her son and daughter in law a bible who cares? It is her son!!! You force feed you shit to everyone!! Seriously, start minding by your own rules…

  15. shapelle says – reply to this

This is exactly what you want is for people to accept you for who you are. You are intolerent of anyone who does not agree with your lifestlye and it is un-american. It's not like she has a blog calling out everyone who is gay. You are a hipocrit Perez.

  16. 16

Re: WAHHHHHHHH! – So u believe that people should have the freedom in this country to deny rights to certain people based off of what they are born as ? Is that right? I am assuming u are a woman? so it would be ok if we had a large portion of the country outwardly voting and publicly announcing their disrepect of you because of that birth "defect" in their eyes? Remember - it hasnt been that long that women have had equal rights. . . have respect for the fight for equality. . .

  19. Jham says – reply to this

Why would she pray over the Bible to bless the union if she was being passive aggressive and didn't want it to work out? If it's true.

  20. 20

Re: nursesRgr8 – Everyone has the right to their opinion. I am for abortion and for gay rights, but I am not walking around telling people that they should be for it too. It's when people take their beliefs, whether for or against, and keep trying to change another persons belief. That is what Brad's mom seems to be doing. That is shoving it down someone's throat.

  21. 21

Re: meg – So religious nuts don't have to shut up about their fairy tale beliefs, but if you say you don't agree with them, you should shut up? That proves that only idiots believe in religion.

  22. Ellen says – reply to this

I was maid of honor at my evangelical, protestant christian roommate's wedding. For their wedding I got them (because I'm Catholic) a Catholic Bible, so they wouldn't forget who gave it to them. I caught hell from the other bridesmaid. I wasn't trying to convert her to my denomination, it was just to let her know it was from her Catholic friend. It was our "thing". I have a Book of Mormon, that was given to me by an LDS friend. Just chill and don't read into it.

  23. Patrick says – reply to this

Brad Pitt's mom sounds like a real asshole. If you KNOW someone doesn't share your beliefs, it is just ignorant and rude and confrontational to give them a "gift" that pushes those beliefs on them. The difference between those who force their beliefs on people and the rest of us is we aren't telling people they can't get married or trying to stop them from living as they see fit. They, on the other hand, use everything at their disposal to try to stop gays from marrying or women from having access to abortion. Anyone who can't see the difference is a moron.

  24. cp says – reply to this

i am a christian and gifting a bible isn't this terrible act of making someone forcefully convert into religion, thats just your own prejudice.Gifting a bible can be a meaningfull gesture, coming from a person who has a specific religion. I think you guys are reading to much into it,its just a gift not a war declaration, just do as with any gift you're given that u dont like, put it in a drawer somewhere and forget about it.

  25. 25

Re: nursesRgr8 – It is indeed your right to abhor people loving each other or a woman determining her own reproductive destiny, but when you attempt to impose your rules on others who don't believe as you do, then you are crossing a line. When someone tries to take your bible away or keep you from attending church, then you'll understand how gays feel.

Why can religious people say anything they want about other people, even telling them how to live their lives and passing laws to force them to do it their way, but the minute you say anything against that or religion in general, they turn into rabid jackalls. Hardly Christian is it? But that's the thing…show me someone who's religious who isn't a huge hypocrite.

Re: cp – Please invite me to your wedding so I can offer you a Koran as a gift. I am sure you will see it as meaningful and not at all offensive.

  31. suckitracistscum says – reply to this

Why is this such a big deal? This is what happens in families - people generally have differing views. I have both crazy Hindus and crazy Catholics in my family and lots of just plain crazy agnostics. You have options - deal with it, try to establish boundaries or cut them off. My husband's grandmother is 91 and has many views I don't agree with. I still have a lot of respect for the way in which she's managed to live a difficult life and I still love her. We are not going to see eye to eye about religion, gay marriage, feminism etc. So what? People are not as one-dimensional as you are Perez. Not everyone can be reduced to their political or religious views and valued solely for these. Most people (you excluded) are much more complex than that. If they're not, they're usually about 17-21 years old. Any older, it's very sad and you have a problem on your hands.

  32. 32

Re: JasonDiggy – There are billions of people who believe in some sort of religion. I guess they are all stupid compared to you. Oh yeah you believe in sticking your cock in mens asses but i guess that is what makes you brilliant. It is gays like you and perez that makes it certain that gays will never be universally accepted… nice job.

  33. 33

Perez, I find it disconcerting that you would think BUYING a bible for someone is shoving something down someones throat. She isn't insisting she read it with her and hour a day. It is merely a gift to which Angelina has the right to do with as she pleases. Now you on the other hand are forcing down everyone's throat that they must like and agree with homosexuality. I am very much for it but I don't have the right to tell someone what they should believe any more than they should tell me what to think. Pushing to have the issues of equality put on the table and pushing to change someones views are two different things all together.

  34. 34

Re: Christik – It goes both ways. Gay-rights activists constantly bully peoply who don't believe in their lifestyle/sexuality, into trying to change their beliefs. It's very hypocritical of you to only chastise religious people.

Does anyone know for a fact that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie aren't Christians? Just because they are for gay rights does not automatically make then non-Christians. If they are Christians, then what's wrong with giving them a Bible?

Re: nursesRgr8 – The thing is, If you are against them you are wanting to take that OPTION away. Key word, option. If you are against it, don't do it. Don't have an abortion. But don't take that choice away from someone else.

  44. swinehol says – reply to this

Since when did the Bible become a bad thing?? Aren't you constantly doing the same thing by trying to force other people to agree with your beliefs?? Maybe you should sit down and talk to a true Christian who would tell you that even though we may not agree with you, we DO NOT hate!!! If we did, we wouldn't be Christians.

  45. 45

Big f*&(ing deal Mario. The Bible is a very common wedding gift that families give to each other. Who knows how Angelina took it, I recall that she's previously said she wants to expose her children to all beliefs and let them decide on their own, so I'd think she'd love it. Instead of looking at it as an endearing gift, you're twisting it around b/c you don't like the fact that his mother has differing beliefs than you. FREEDOM OF SPEECH YOU MORON. Not everyone agrees with homosexuality, so what. Leave the old lady alone.

  46. BOH says – reply to this

Has it occured to you that Angie may be as tolerant of her mother in laws beliefs as she is of everyone elses?
Angie was brought up by a Christian mother that she was/is devoted to. There are many devout Christians of all denominations that believe in equal rights for all. As for the wedding gift it is a beautiful thoughtful gift. Brad loves his mother very much and is no doubt one of those Christians that I mentioned above. It is a gift that will be handed down through the generations, simply beautiful. Angie's father is of the same mind no doubt as Brad's mother. It seems to me that there is a unreasonable fear of all things Christian here and it is most unfortunate. You don't always need to be borrowing trouble were there is none.

  49. 49

You know, here in the Midwest, it is very common to give a Family Bible as a wedding gift! You are able to record special dates whether it be a marriage, a birth or a death. It really isn't as bad as you are making it out to be.

  50. mktb says – reply to this

Angelina Jolie is ATHEIST. It was wrong and extremely rude for that hag to have given ANGELINA a 130$ bible when she surely knows she doesn't believe in that bullshit. She needs to stop.

  51. BOH says – reply to this

By the way, what makes you think that an American brought up by Christian parents does not already have a bible in her home. At the very least she inherited her mother's which she no doubt cherishes.
Your narrow mindedness is really quite shocking. Do you not stand for equal rights for ALL?

  52. NotUnderstanding says – reply to this

I don't understand how giving someone a bible is a "slap in the face"? why are you so against Christianity. I literally haven't checked this site in MONTHS because you are a total and complete jackass. I regret checking it today.

  53. 53

Who cares? I'm not religious at all and my grandma tries to preach to me sometimes, because she is genuinely concerned for my soul. I'm never going to become religious, but I don't chastise her, for in her eyes, helping me.
It's really not a big deal. Brad's mom probably really loves him and Angelina, and is probably trying to "save their souls". In her eyes, help them.
I mean really, it's just a bible not a shirt that says "I hate homos", quit acting like it's the most evil thing in the world.

  54. 54

How very gay of you to condemn someone for what you do constantly. Hopefully your AIDS will kick in soon, a result of shoving too many things down your throat and up your @ss.

Oh the intolerant Perez … LOL You are the biggest hypocrite ever! It's VERY common here in the Midwest for people to gift Bible's to newly weds. Alot of times Bibles are also kept as record books as there are spaces in the front to record births and deaths in the family. It's also common to have Bibles passed down from generation to generation much like a wedding dress or a wedding ring. You are showing you ignorance Perez. You are so hell bent on trying to make anything religious look bad that you attack anything you can about it without knowing what the hell you are saying. It's actually an honor to receive such gifts. It means you are being accepted into the family. If Hoe-lie doesn't like her Bible she doesn't have to read it. Its a GIFT from her future mother in law. Heck, maybe if she read it she would know that "thou shall not covet the neighbors (husband)" She could learn a few morals from it anyway.

  70. 70

Omggggg, I REALLY REALLY hate it when ppl start generalizing and assuming all Christians are religious freaks who impose their religion on others. I'm Catholic and I, for one, do NOT impose my religion onto others AND am totally for abortion (not every woman deserves to be a mother) and for gay rights (what they do is none of my business). So before u guys start attacking ALL religious ppl, u should remember that not all of us are like those religious nuts who give us a bad name. Thanx.

I'm a religious nut because of my post? Ok… ASSume away. I don't feel the need to explain myself because it's more complicated then "I'm Christian". I'm tolerant and being that I've lived in the Midwest my whole life I know the traditions and the customs here. If someone gave me a dildo (and it actually happened once from an old BF) I'd laugh it off and put on my big girl panties and not become so easily offended. Just because I got one doesn't mean I have to use it (or need it) :)
You are ignorant for your assumptions btw… my christian values LMAO!

And YES Perez you CRAM your beliefs down other people's throats and then cry bully or intolerant when they don't agree with them. The funny thing is you are the biggest bully of all. You name call and bully those who don't agree with what you think is "the way".

So much for tolerance huh Perez? Just to let everyone know I typed out a response to why I think abortion is wrong backed by some stats as to WHY I think it's wrong and Mr. Tolerant "Freedom of Speech" won't post it. Hmmmmm…. only when they agree with you. Your ass is showing Perez. Oh and the fact I brought up the fact that he thinks it's ok to call people f*gs and was caught redhanded at it but when other people say it they are haters and bullies. This is the mindset of Perez…… hoooooooooowwwww tolerant. LOL

  74. 74

Re: Jham – she prayed that her god would guide them- that's paraying to force a change…

  75. 75

I don't see where she is "cramming" her religion down their throats, she is giving them a lovely gift, not preaching to them or trying to convert them from what I have read. And if Angelina actually reads parts of the Bible there are some pretty good stories in there that might make good movies (lots have already been done). She might want to look into Samson and Delilah (not sure if that was made into a movie but if so it was a long time ago).

One more thing real quick… what "rights" are any gays denied by not allowing them to be married? Last I checked they still can vote, own property, go to the same schools as everyone else, get the same jobs, soooo what's with the claims to being treated like second class citizens which IMO is a slap in the face to those who HAVE in our past been treated in such ways. Why are civil unions not enough? Do gays not realize that marriage is a religious ceremony or are they trying to force those who are against it for religious reason to accept them? These are genuine questions. I believe civil unions should be recognized but I also believe that gays shouldn't force their lifestyle on those who are trying to be true to their religious beliefs. Civil unions aren't acceptable to gays? If someone could elaborate on these questions so I can get a picture as to why gays are so upset that they claim everyone who doesn't agree with the marriage part are bad enough people to continually attack and call them names.

  81. kay says – reply to this

If Brad & Angelina say I'm not a Christian and Jane knows that, then it would not be right for her to give them a Bible as it would be considered "cramming" your beliefs onto someone who doesn't share the same beliefs. My fiancee and I are Atheist and his grandma is your old school Christian, each year she gives us a Bible. Luckily for us, we don't take an offense to it however, if she decides to preach to my future kids about it then that would be crossing the lines. Now, if in the future my kids decides to become Christian, Buddhist, Muslim or whatever then it's their choice and no one else.

  84. 84

Re: teeter totter – Yes, Sampson and Delilah was made into a wonderful movie quite a while ago, perhaps she could be Bathsheba to King David or Salomé in the dance of the seven veils … or Mary Magdalene, not as a prostitute, which even the Catholic Church agrees was not true, but as Jesus' most beloved disciple. There are indeed some riveting stories in the bible, which need not be taken literally, but more as allegory or metaphor. However, one is free to read into it whatever one will.

  85. 85

call me CRAZY but i dont see the problem with them giving Angelina and Brad a bible as a gift…. Angie and Brad arent tied to any one religion and every couple i know thats has gotten married has gotten some sort of 'specialty' book pertaining to religion, whether s a quran or a bible (i dont know any jewish couple that have gotten married). my mom has been divorced for 19 years and still has the white leather-bound bible that she was given n her wedding day. for all we know its a family tradition.

STOP making organized religion a problem, its offensive to your readers who, like most of the gen pop, are religious AND are open-minded to basic human rights.

Seriously? Perez for someone who is supposedly so tolerant, you sure have your causes. Oh the horrors! The groom's mother bought the couple a - GASP! - Bible for a wedding gift. I understand your thoughts on her beliefs regarding homosexuality and I share them. However, Angelina is no saint, despite your ongoing homage to her. Much like your obsession with two other fame whores, Madonna and Lady GagMe, you are completely blind to what is right in front of you. Plenty to criticize Jane Pitt about but as a mother, I can't imagine she is happy with her son's relationship to someone like Angelina. And I can't see anything wrong with buying a Bible as a gift. My parents gave us one as a wedding gift so that we would have a "family Bible." It isn't uncommon.

He brought up a dildo to try to "shock" me and get me to react. Transparent…. so sad. Laughable really.

I think Mrs. Pitt is finding back door ways to get rid of Angelina. She has never liked her and the feeling is mutual. That picture is so fake and staged. It's all for the cameras, just like how Angelina uses the kids as props. They will not make it to the altar, guaranteed. No way Mama Pitt is gonna let her little boy marry that wild woman!!

Re: gossipgirl180 – I do know that it goes both ways. Like I said, I am for a woman right to make whatever decision she wants to when it comes to her body, and I am for gay rights as well. I do NOT try to shove my beliefs down another persons throat. You have your opinion and I have mine. It doesn't mean I can't be friends with that person or anything. Don't force your beliefs and I won't force mine.
