Brandy Reminds Us That Breezy Hasn't Hit Women Since 2009!

Brandy Defends Chris Brown

Brandy wants the world to MOVE ON!

Chris Brown beat up Rihanna, but that was over three years ago, and Ri Brandy is tired of the public criticism he's receiving.

She recently shared:

"Chris Brown, at the end of the day, is a person and he is going through… his own struggles. I don't think it's anybody's place to judge him. I just think we need to be a little more supportive of celebrities that are out there going through things in life."

Breezy has community service left to finish from his sentencing, but he and Rihanna must be friendly again if they're recording tracks together.

Honestly, his violent tendencies are old news he hasn't been directly involved with women getting hurt in WELL over a month!

And that might have been Drake's fault.

Cheryl Cole is right there next to Moesha.

She begged us to get over it a while ago! She recently said:

"I think it's time we all moved on. That guy is talented as hell."

Has Breezy paid his debt to society? Should we forgive and forget because he's "talented as hell"?

didn't Brandy kill an old woman with her car?

  2. 2

Brandy wants to remind us that Breezy hasn't hit a women since "2009"???
    And Brandy hasn't had a HIT since "2004" …….So?

    I agree with her.

    4

i bet if she got the shit beat out of her, she wouldn't forget it. and no. that loser isn't talented.

  5. 5

People are more concerned about Michael Vick getting a new puppy than Chris Brown's vicious beat-down of a young girl. Sad sad.

  6. Sutherngirl says – reply to this

    6

I bet if he had beat up her mother or daughter she would not be so quick to forgive, also I'm so sick of this "he's so talented" crap, so he's talented, just because he is talented doesn't mean he has changed, he has a record of violence. If he gets a pass so does every really talented person who committs a horrible crime. I am so sick of that being the reason for these celebrities of getting away with bad things.

  7. 7

She made an appearance in one of his vids, of course she would defend him. The major difference is that Brown does not inspire compassion or sympathy because his actions are cavalier and unrepentent.

    9

he may be talented but he's still a gigantic douchebag, you shouldn't have to say "he hasn't hit a woman since 2009" because it never should've happened in the first place.

  10. Eagle Eye says – reply to this

    10

She's a Murderer. What the Fu@k does she know? She's an advocate for the public to forget the shitty things that celebs do. She just wants CB to stand up for her in hopes that we will move on from the terrible thing(s) she has done.

    11

there will never be enough time that passes to forgive what he did.

  12. 12

breezy? who the fuck calls that fuk breezy? and brandi is a dumb ass person. she proved that on her own show.

    13

So being a violent abuser is something that needs to be forgiven because it was a few years ago and he's going through his struggles in life?
Brandy is a classless, stupid, talentless, amoral, money grubbing piece of trash. She's also a hit and run driver and so that says more than enough about the type of person she is I suppose.
Chris Brown is lucky he works in a vabid industry full of stupid people like her who bow down to the dollar above all else. Otherwise, he'd be feeling the consequences of his actions more than he is now.

  14. God says – reply to this

    14

Are you freaking kidding? I hope somebody beats the hell out of Brady the murder and Cheryl Cole then well see if we can forgive that. I'm sure Brady, the family of the woman you killed with car can't forget the day you murder their child.

  15. 15

She's such a stupid woman for allowing those words to leave her mouth. He hasn't been shown real consequences for his actions to a scale that's appropriate. I realize this is an arguable point, but he BEAT A WOMAN (PERIOD). His talent somehow excuses him from that?

Side note: I find it interesting that the majority of people who defend him are those that are … what's the word/phrase I'm looking for… used to having physical abuse as part of their culture? Just because you've grown desensitized to it, it's not okay, it should never be okay, and it should worry you that it doesn't bother you as much as it should.

  16. J says – reply to this

    16

Chris Brown has an anger problem. One that he doesn't admit he has. Every time someone even mentions about the day he beat Rihanna he either throws a chair at a window a la Good Morning America or goes off on them. I'm glad Drake beat his ass up and now he knows what it felt like the day he hit Rihanna. I don't really think he's talents and the way everybody seemed to push him a side and gave him a grammy is beyond me

  17. 17

Re: naira – Naira: yes, prove you're beneath his level… HA!

  18. 18

Re: Eagle Eye – doubt it, but good point. This theory of yours involves a higher train of thought than I think she's capable of. I shouldn't be spewing insulting words, but a black woman defending a black man about physical abuse just seems so…. …. … you know?

  19. 19

    Well said.
    Re: suckitracistscum

  20. 20

    I haven't beaten up a queer in 3 years. Am I forgiven?

  21. Zopo says – reply to this

    21

You can't forgive someone who doesn't try to earn forgiveness. He just does what the courts tell him to do, oh and throws bottles at a club. If he wants forgiveness stop acting like a douche and earn it (Especially if you want people to keep giving you money for you music), whether Rhianna is ok with it or not.

    Go above and beyond.

  22. 22

How sad that WOMEN excuse his behaviour…Look at how Rihanna has spiralled down since the incident. That's hardly a coincidence, psychology shows her behaviour is VERY common after an assault like this.

  23. 23

I don't think his "talent" should have any play in the matter…however this shit happens everyday in regular households and people move on if the incident doesn't repeat itself. I fully agree it's time to let this shit go, funny how everyone takes it so personally. But wether it's an ass beating or verbal…abuse is abuse and Perez questioning if Chris Brown should be forgiven is a fucking joke. You are no fucking better Perez…ere una puta verguenza para la comunidad hispana.

  24. 24

IF he had taken a humble approach when it happend or at ANY point thereafter, he might not been taken for such an apparent douche.. but the kid started swinging on Rihanna and continued on the media, showed basically NO remorse or understanding for what he did and he repeatedly showed signs of violence during the years after.. so Brandy, honey, (like someone already said) had it been your sister, mother or daughter, would you be so forgiving? Oh, and stop killing people with your car. KTHXBAI

  25. 25

we moved on then he did something else temper related we moved on then again he did things we moved on he did more he needs to move on from being a major asshole

  26. ONIT says – reply to this

    26

I disliked Chris Brown before and after 2009. No change here. He seems so full of himself. We will never forget. Yet, everybody deserves another chance. Even we should be able to look beyond this single event. Let's not forget the first reports from the site. They told us about Rihanna being jealous and attacking Chris while he was drining their car on a busy road. She has her own issues and endangered other drivers and pedestrians. It's no surprise he flipped but it's still a huge NO to do so. Her part was omitted in later reports though. No wonder they still meet. Both had their part in the incident and he took the entire blame.

  27. Mary says – reply to this

    27

If he had been more apologetic and less of an ass since it happened, I would totally be willing to forget it. But he has made no strides to be less of a jerk (MAJOR anger issues) which leads me to believe he has not changed a bit and will hurt a woman again.

  28. GingerDaily says – reply to this

    28

The 60's called, they want their social standards on beating woman back. This just goes to show how warped society still is, and how domestic violence still seen as no big deal. It's truly sad that Rihanna, who could have become an advocate for young girls who struggle with abuse by publicly coming out and saying what happened was wrong, has decided to instead create music with her abuser.

  29. Mercurygirl says – reply to this

    29

People seem more upset that Michael Vick wants a dog now - wasn't that three years ago too? I don't think he should have a dog, even though he's super talented in the NFL. What a dumb statement from a dumb celebrity.

if the "breezy" can, then a senator or minister can too.

half the yellow press is about getting away by the rich with almost everything.
same with drugs. what makes a worn-out singer fit for the stage, make a politician aggressive an winning.

result ist crisis in economy, politics, music sales.

it is a privilege to live as a famous artist or other elite person. saying sorry and serving some sentence does NOT return that privilege to the offender.

  31. Ki says – reply to this

    31

First of I dont condone violence in anyway. But Chris Brown owes nothing to society. Who are we? That was a personal incident that was unfortunate but clearly that isn't in his character he made a mistake, people should get off their high horse and realize they make mistakes too! If all parties that were involved have forgiven what makes you think he owes you something? He doesn't! I mean come on there have been other celebrities who have been accused of domestic violence and you never hear them being bashed, get off his back, he's moved on, Rhianna has moved on, why are you stuck on it? No one is saying forget, it happened its hard to forget but forgiving and let him live his life doing what he loves is all that should be important, encourage people to be better instead of bringing them down. And it makes me crazy when people ask why he is allowed to perform on different award shows..really? It's his job! Has nothing to do with his personal life. Get over yourselves and find something better to do than bash someone who has never done anything to you!

  32. 32

Brandy is a fucking asshole. She is trying to ride that fame wave. She needs to go work on her career.

  36. Pei-Pei Chu says – reply to this

    36

NO. People make mistakes, but this was a CHOICE he consciously made when he beat the hell out of Rhianna. Who says he can't CHOOSE to be that guy again? There's enough talent out there, GTFO Chris Brown.

  37. Storm Lattimore says – reply to this

    37

Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone…. Rihanna has moved on, why shouldn't society? They just did a song together for pete sakes. People are so judgmental, Everyone has done something they want to be forgiven for. Look at the specks in your own eye, before you find a speck in someone eles's….

  38. Storm Lattimore says – reply to this

    38

…and the Calling her a murderer is very malicious. She was in a fucing car accident, someone died in the accident… he didn't stab or shoot someone you DUMBASS! Accidents happen.

    39

Chris Brown still has a #1 album. so who gives a fuck what the haters have to say, someone is still buying his music, so your thoughts on the matter are proving to be a non-mutha-fuckin factor, Talking shit isn't stopping his money or haveing a number 1 album AGAIN.

  40. 40

I don't care if he wins 20 Grammy awards, that guy not only beats women but hes also a douchebag with a capital D.

Women can drive men crazy and a lot of times men refrains from beating women because we will always be physically stronger than them.

This creep on the other hand decided to go ahead and do it anyway. Being a celebrity. Against a celebrity.

He is a douchebag and he's dumb. Only reason he still making hits is because his record company is paying insane amounts of money for top producers to create tracks for him.

His only talent is being a dancer and I bet you can find better dancers than him on So You Think You Can Dance.

    Case closed.

  41. 41

Ha Hilarious that everybody has forgotten this about Cheryl Cole (Nee Tweedy)

no wonder she got Chris Browns back!

    43

People slate Brandy for working with CB but stay quiet when Jodie Foster & kate Winslet do a movie with Director Roman Polanski. CB at least is paying his dues to society via the law of the land - Polanski raped a 13yr old girl, fled justice and is financed by US money with active participation of A -list actors. i would've swore plying a 13yr old girl with drugs, booze then frontally and anally raping her over& over was far worse than a 19yr old boy stupidly beating a 20yr old girl. People!!, get some values really…..Mel gibson violently shakes his babymama while she'd the baby in her arms and CB's the problem???

  44. 44

My link doesn't work work - it was an article about when Cheryl Cole beat up a toilet attendant in England, a couple years back - She also tries to have people forget about this small event, I doubt the poor girl whom she beat up on, forgets, See this quote form the Article

"Sentencing Tweedy( her name before she married Ashley Cole) he criticised her for showing no remorse over the attack.

He said: "This was an unpleasant piece of drunken violence which caused Sophie Amogbokpa pain and suffering.

"Her eye was painful for three or four weeks, there was bruising for three months and for a while she had blurred vision.

    "You showed no remorse whatsoever."

    Beaters Flock together eh?

  47. 47

brandy's only saying this since she killed someone with her car. so obviously she wants people to forget about violent matters. and since when is chris brown "talented"? he can dance, but his music is just like everyone else's. he isn't special and he has anger management issues

  48. 48

    why is brandy's opinion relevent

Re: Storm Lattimore – agreed. I dislike Chris just like the next person. But Rihanna doesn't care. You can't care for the victim. SHe is beyond this, we should follow suit. There are lots of abusers out there that still move on. Sean Penn, JOsh Brolin. Chris just seems like such an unapologetic person. But if Rihanna doesn't care, let it be.

He was a very young man, when he made this mistake, while other over grown hollywood men have tried to kill their wives without receiving any rea media attention, since they aren't Black. Most important, he paid his debt to society! Many of the same women who are attacking him are often getting slapped around by the jerks they choose but they take it out on some other man!

  57. Melissa says – reply to this

    57

Lets just remind everyone that although Chris Brown has not hit a woman recently he continues to show violent tendencies and a complete disregard for the law and others around him. He has been involved in dangerous nightclub brawls resulting in injuries, he has trashed hotel rooms, he has racked up tons of parking tickets and aggravated his neighbors to the point that they have moved away from him, he has insulted Rhianna in one of his lyrics, and the latest tidbit - he has possibly lied about his community service hours! This is what we KNOW ABOUT! Do you know how many PR people this "boy" has covering his tracks? I'm sure these incidents are the ones they couldn't clean up, there are others. Chris Brown is hardly rehabilitated, he thinks he is the centre of the universe, and the fact that people still listen to his music and endorse him is ridiculous and pathetic. There are hundreds of other talented and worthy singers ready to take this morons place, the problem is that people still buy his music and his already established name and brand are still marketable and will make money. Chris Brown represents a company and he makes money for a ton of people who work for him. That's what it all comes down to. Money. We are sending a horrible message to our youth because of it. I personally refuse to listen to him regardless of whether I like his music or think he's talented.

  61. 61

I agree he shouldn't have place his hands on Rihanna but look at the big picture she's going back to him and all types of things. Brandy is right he hasn't put his hands on anyone else so let it go, he's a very talented young man who deserves to be forgiven for his actions.

  62. Brittany says – reply to this

    62

We should forgive and forget because people make mistakes and he damn sure has apologized a lot. If anyone has the right to judge him, it's rihanna because it was between them. It's called "LETTING GO"… you people just keep the subject up because you're bored and need something to talk about. And NO ONE can say he isn't talented. F.A.M.E was the #1 album on the charts for idk how long. Stop being jealous and bashing the celebrity who doesn't know you so can't defend himself to YOU. Pathetic. Lets see yall talk crap to someone in ya'lls neighborhood or someone you actually know. Won't happen right? yeah. because you're scared. I love my Chris =)

  63. heyo! says – reply to this

    63

Re: Brittany – You are a pathetic piece of crap, and I feel nothing but shame knowing that you and I share the same first name. What Chris Brown did to Rihanna was repulsive and humiliating. The fact that he walked away with a pat on the back is absolutely nauseating. It condones DV and that is a horrible message to send. Domestic violence and VAW are EPIDEMICS in this country (and in the world), and for you to sit here and say that we should "forgive and forget" is horrifying to read, especially since you yourself are a lady.
The only talent CB has is his dancing and thats about it. It's not like he's a rare talent that is irreplaceable, because really, he is very replaceable. Also, I will judge him all I want because he is a PUBLIC FIGURE; ridicule and judgement come with the job description. And as a public figure he should know better than to beat up on a women.

  64. heyo! says – reply to this

    64

Re: Brittany – ….Nothing Rihanna said or did deserved the beating she took from him. And just because people have a problem with Chris Brown the woman beater, as they should, does in no way make them "jealous" of him. I don't care if he has a #1 album, or that Rihanna forgave him and recorded songs with him, or if Brandy says we should all move on because he is "talented as hell," because talent (which he lacks) is in no way an excuse for his behavior. His fights in clubs, him taring up hotel rooms, and his blow up at GMA at the mention of the abuse, just goes to show that he still has that rage inside of him, and that he is capable of doing it again-I'm still not quite convinced that he hasn't. Brandy's words aren't very convincing. How would you feel if you or someone close to you was viciously beaten like Rihanna? Would you be still be condoning DV? Would you still be looking the other way? I feel sorry for people like you, really. You are an ignorant girl, and I sincerely hope you raise your standards one day.

  65. heyo! says – reply to this

    65

Brandy and Chris Brown recorded a song together! She clearly has her own agenda, if only she weren't so blind and ignorant. What a stupid statement, she should go bang her head against the wall and really think about what she just said. What an idiot

  67. B3 Fearless says – reply to this

    67

Although I appreciate your point of view. Clearly your point of view and others are misinformed. Any1 who does their research regarding Brown knows he is NOT a women beater or participates in “dangerous nightclub brawls". Those are all plural and false. There was ONE brawl recently and all witnesses including those who were injured stated that the fight was between Chris Brown & Drake’s ENTOURAGES. Drake threw a bottle and then hid behind one of his security guards before leaving the club altogether. Chris Brown did NOT participate. Chris had no history of violence with women prior to Feb 2009 or since.

  68. B3 Fearless says – reply to this

    68

My previous response was to Melissa. Furthermore, The recent story about the audit is NOT on ALL his community service hours just his more recent ones. The judge said that detailed logs of his community service had always been provided to the court in the past and this year was their first time in court where the logs had not been UPDATED with DETAILS about the community service he has been doing since his community service was last reviewed. So they just want the logs to be UPDATED. The fact that his lawyer didn’t object speaks for itself. And as far as remorse? In 2009 g/f’s from his past spoke out on what a good guy he is. He apologized A LOT after the incident in 2009. The problem is, apart from ABC & CNN ppl didn’t take the time to read articles or look at any programs that he was doing all of the apologies on. The reason why ppl didn’t at the time is understandable but now years later ppl who chose not to pay attention at the time state that he has never shown remorse when that is NOT TRUE. He apologized repeatedly, wrote songs apologizing, wrote songs talking about how much he loved Rihanna, begging her to take him back. And at the end of the day the ONE person who deserves the apology and has the right to forgive him HAS!

  69. B3 Fearless says – reply to this

    69

I think it is wrong for somebody to get crucified for ONE incident that yes happened 3 YEARS AGO. Do all former drug addicts, prostitutes or ppl who have too much “fun” in their teens & 20s who are now soccer moms and dads deserve to consistently have their past thrown in their faces 5, 10, 20 years later? Especially if their actions show they have changed? Are they expected to smile & be happy as ppl remind them of their former highs & lows? As if no matter what you do it doesn’t matter because you were once that person that society looks down upon. And those examples I mentioned were lifestyles of repeated occurrences & choices. Chris Brown only had ONE mistake. I call it a mistake b/c he had no record of violence against women prior to Rihanna or since. He has NEVER forgotten and never will. And he shouldn’t! The public doesn’t need to remind him. He knows! He does charity work which hardly ever gets reported. In fact some of his work has been with a DV organization in LA. He could have publicized this but didn’t! This speaks volumes to me of his character.

  70. B3 Fearless says – reply to this

    70

He is hardworking & ppl speak highly of his work even if it isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. He has been writing, producing and directing music videos for other artists along with working on his own music. So even if his music career in front of the scenes ends he will still be fine financially working behind the scenes. Ppl would prefer to believe all of the SPECULATION the mass media wants to spread about a possible reunion between him & Rihanna. That’s the ONLY thing they can sensationalize since if they didn’t all they would have to talk about is his almost 2 yr relationship with Karreuche, his work & the partying he does with friends which is what most ppl in their 20s do. DON’T BELIEVE THE HYPE! Anything from a “source” with no actual pic is usually made up. Do your own research & think for yourself! If at the end of the day you still believe he is a thug? Fine, as long as you have sound sources to back up that belief. I don’t think you will find any objective sources that support that perspective. I have followed this story from the beginning which is why I can firmly say that as of 2012 I consider him a spoiled celebrity who acts like your typical college fraternity guy, but NOT a women beater & certainly not a thug. There has been no repeated violence that HE has committed so that term is inappropriate. Any real thug knows calling Chris Brown one is a joke.
