We bet Nigel Lythgoe is kicking himself BIG TIME right now!

Despite some seriously complex, extended contract negotiations before officially joining The X Factor this season, Britney Spears has come forward to reveal that she would have happily done American Idol if she hadn't been offered the other reality competition first!

She reveals:

"I would have loved that."

But hold up! That doesn't mean she's not happy to be where she is!

Of course not! Brit-Brit adds:

"I feel like it [the X Factor casting switch-up] brings a whole new energy to the show, definitely. Nicole and Paula were really great, but to have such a dramatic change, I'll bet this even made Simon and L.A. nervous. That was what they had been used to, then these two new girls come in. I don't know how it'll be perceived, but it's been fun for us. I've been having a blast. I hope I'm ready. I don't really know what to expect at this point, so I'm just taking it one day at a time."

Oh, don't worry, GURL!

You may be unsure, but after seeing you during the audition rounds, we KNOW that you are ready!

And although we're sure that you would have RAWKED Idol just as hard, we're pretty excited to watch you go tit for tat with Simon this coming season!

It's going to be EPIC!

    Well it worked out for the best because she's much better suited to judge X Factor which is more about star potential than AI which is about singing ability.

    When is Britney's next album or single coming out? Wasn't she rumoured to be in the process of writing with Amber Danz and Taylor Swift? Not sure when they are supposed to come out with this but hopefully soon

    Haven't seen her because I do not watch those shows, but from reports I have read she is doing well and enjoying herself, which is great for her.

    It's kinda obvious that Perez always chooses her worst pictures, since there are 1000s of X Factor pics in which she looks beautiful.
