And so it begins.
Hey, Nicole Kidman? Remember when you divorced Tom Cruise and then you made Moulin Rouge and your career skyrocketed to new heights? Send a muffin basket to Katie Holmes — she's joining your club!
It was just announced that Katie will star in a new Broadway play this fall called Dead Accounts. The five character comedy, by Theresa Rebeck and directed by three-time Tony Award winner Jack O’Brien, will open at the Music Box Theatre, and tackle the "timely issues of corporate greed, small town values, and whether or not your family will always welcome you back…with no questions asked."
Katie will be taking on the role of Lorna, the sister of the protagonist Jack, who throw his family through the ringer with his return to the fold. Jack's got himself some secrets … and Lorna is looking for the keys to unlock them!
Sounds thrilling! A challenge suitable for an actress who could use a stretching of her talent. Oh, she has it in her, believe you us. Now, let's see if she's ready to SHOW it!
A hearty congrats, Katie. You know who's going to love that big Broadway stage? Suri! She's got diva written all over her cute lil' face!
