You MUST Watch The Preview For This Heartbreaking Andy Whitfield Doc!
Oh, boy. This one definitely has us in tears.
Andy Whitfield was a brilliant actor and a helluva human being. The Spartacus star died of non-Hodgkin lymphoma last fall at the age of 37.
Gone does not equal forgotten.
Take a look at the clip (above) and watch Andy bravely battle cancer like it were one of his Roman oppressors from the TV series.
Via Kickstarter.com, those closest to him funded a documentary called Be Here Now — chronicling his cancer diagnosis, subsequent treatments, and his last days as a "butterfly with broken wings."
There are only a few days left to participate in the fundraiser but, thankfully, the filmmakers already exceeded all their monetary goals!
The ending of Andy's story might be tragic, but we're guessing his courageous fight could inspire other cancer survivors and end up doing a lot of good.
And that's pretty cool.

Breaking Bad Tour Shows You Where To Buy Meth!

a beautiful person, who had to learn very hardly, that life is not always a fairy dream !
chemotherapy will kill you first and faster!!! there are wholistic approaches!!!
I hate hate hate this fucking disease named cancer.
I lost my father 3 years ago. (leukemia)
I'm still so mad with life, with god.
I miss him so much, he was/is my inspiration, my everything.
Perez, perhaps you could spearhead a campaign to divert all of the millions and millions of dollars from pointless, non health Gay propoganda charities towards the fight for cancer. Its about time the world got its priorities in order.
What an incredibly strong, beautiful person. Fuck cancer and fuck anyone who thinks they know the answers (Looking at you Tayona).
Re: mattyvoyager – Not gonna happen. Perez's top priority is trying to get the homos their "right" to marry, even though marriage is not a civil right. He'd rather see millions spent on something like that than on anything truly useful, like curing cancer. In his teeny mind, homo marriage is far more important. Perez is a symbol for what's terribly wrong in this country.
Couldn't have said it better myself Mattvoyager!
RIP. So sad.
WRe: bytchface – WELL I GUESS I SHOULDNT TELL U THAT URINE THERAPY CURES CANCER IF I WOULD OF KNOWN WHAT I KNOW NOW THEN I WOULD OF CONTACTED HIM AND SAVED HIS LIFE
WTF???
How can people read news like this and comment about gay propaganda or how to cure cancer?????
First, people have the right to believe in whatever they want and fight for whatever they want, whether it is gay marriage, animal rights, human rights, poverty, hunger…
Who are you to judge others?!
Second, Andy Whitfield tried it all! He's even been to India in search for some new type of cure for his disease.
So, get the story right before making nonsense comments, morons!!!!
We already donated. It wasn't much but boy when we saw that it was funded the tears flowed. Just the fact that you've posted it here Perez says a lot about your character. I've been watching and studios who one would think would get involved have done squat.
Blessings!
Perez, I believe Andy was 39 when he died. He died on Sept 11th, yes 10 years after our national tragedy but even more bitter sweet, that was also the day he and Vashti were to get married in New York. I pray for all those in the Colorado shootings last night and I hope E.T. and The Insider run the story tomorrow night.
Re: OuiSource Inc – The studios would have donated the money but the goal was to raise awareness amongst the general public. A person would be more apt to get involved in solving a problem when they have something at stake in it.
