Senator John McCain and two other senators will be guest-starring on the NBC comedy this fall.
The star Senater-studded episode takes place at a party in Washington D.C. Our source says Amy Poehler's character is at the capital visiting Adam Scott's character, which means…. Ben and Leslie are trying to do the long distance thing!! Hooray!
Senator McComedy seems to be excited about being on an NBC show, even though he was openly disappointed with his 2008 SNL hosting gig.
He tweeted a picture of he and Amy on set (below) writing:
"Had a great time shooting @ParksandRecNBC today w/Amy Poehler - I think it's an Emmy!"
And there's certainly a chance for awards!
This year Amy is currently nominated for TWO Emmys; Outstanding Lead Actress and Outstanding Writing.
