Warner Bros. Canceling Dark Knight Screenings?

Oh no!

In light of the horrific shooting that occurred at the Century 16 movie theater in Aurora, Colorado early Friday morning, execs over at Warner Bros. are considering canceling The Dark Knight Rises screenings all across the United States.

Apparently, a decision will be made either today or this weekend by the entertainment juggernaut as to whether action is needed.

It seems WB execs have been holed up in their Burbank offices since early Friday, closely monitoring the disturbing situation, and they have already decided to cancel the film's highly anticipated Paris premiere.

While the mass-killing is an isolated incident, we're sure there are some feeling a little wary about going to see the epic third installment in Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, so we guess it would be smart to cut showings, simply for piece of mind.

So tragic. So senseless.

Prez stop floating rumors..you want to a biane style up rising pull the movie… the movie is the best movie I have ever seen! Just because one crack pot goes off the rails does mean the rest of suffer, typical liberal stupidity.

If this had happened at Katy Perry's movie, 12 people killed would have been the whole audience.

Good call. There has been enough superhero movies this summer anyways. They should put it on Netflix next week.

The DIRTY & EVIL HOLLYWOOD JEWS ain't cancelling anything; they are converging to PROFIT OFF this tragedy….

Well I see no point to that whatsoever. Its hardly likely the same thing will happen again! Just a melodramatic an pointless gesture really.

these serial killings can happen anywhere that large groups gather. ANYWHERE.

Re: jedimaster12 – If that's the way you think, then maybe it should've been you shot and killed in Colorado instead of someone else. You're a douchebag and a troll.

It's not likely to happen again. This was an action carried out by a sick individual, it's not the movies fault. Its not Nolan's fault. I can understand cancelling the premiers, though, out of respect.
It sucks though that some people are going to blame this movie or a character.

If it would be out of respect from those who were killed and their relatives, it would be understandable. However, I the execs are basically postponing the screenings simply for peace of mind, that does not make sense. How would you know if once it re-premiers, something tragic will happen again then? Do you really think two, three, a month of holding off will be sufficient, Regardless when it would premier again, the press will always find a way to bring up this tragedy again.

If they did this, they should give the money they spent in making this movie back. Nolan has no blame whatsoever in this.

OH GIVE ME A FUCKING BREAK. ONE SINGLE PERSON out of the 311 million people in this nation went on a shooting spree and this is happening? ROFL, We need more people to go on shooting sprees apparently since dumbasses outnumber smart people.
