Scientologists Beware! PTA Reveals First Official Trailer For The Master!

| Filed under: Film FlickersJoaquin PhoenixOscars

We can't friggin' wait to see this!

Technically, there's currently no official link between Paul Thomas Anderson's The Master and The Church of Scientology.

PTA has been asked repeatedly and has declined comment.

Off the record, most everyone recognizes his new film is a not-so-subtely disguised L. Ron Hubbard biopic.

Ch-Ch-Check out Phillip Seymour Hoffman's portrayal of a cult leader/philosopher in the trailer (above), and we think you'll see what we mean.

Regardless, we are PUMPED for more PTA!!

It seems like six decades have passed since There Will Be Blood!

And from the trailer alone we definitely wouldn't be surprised if Joaquin Phoenix was nominated for an Oscar.

We're totes enthused for The Master to visit theaters in late 2012.

If John Simms isn't playing The Master, then I don't care.

  3. 3

Hopefully it will show L. Ron Hubbard as the crazed loon he was.

Can't wait! Should be mucho food for thought.

I like the fact that since Joaquin, River, and Rain(?) were raised in a cult, it helps validate the film somewhat.

I am so happy Joaquin is back. One of the best actors of his generation. Missed him.

another nail in the coffin of Co$!

i am sure david miscarriage and his ZOMBIES are prepping now for the demise of this cult; as in taking out all the cash, before there isnt any left, ’cause all the ZOMBIES have left.

    bye bye.

fade to tom and david running (scared) off into the sunset….

I'm going to see this for sure. You know everyone will be thinking of the parallels between this and L Ron Hubbard making up his fictional religion as he goes along. He was a great writer though, I'll give him that.

As a proud Scientologist I am soooo petrified at a movie coming out starring some candy assed Cruise macho wannabees. Particularly since the film is part of the Rothschild/Rockefeller/Kissinger/Soros/etc. bankster cult's desprate propaganda campaign that has failed to put even a mild dent In Scientology despite 60 plus years of non-stop well funded attacks using the methods pioneered by "Dr." Joseph Goebells that turned Europe and much of the world into a blood bath in WW II.

Will definitely be seeing it, sounds really good and I love Philip Seymour Hoffman. Been a long time since I have seen Joaquin Phoenix, so that will be nice too. Best wishes to the cast and crew.

Holy cow. Or Holy Xenu or whatever they worship. I guess Scientoogist just worship money. I love how they turned a North Korean reeducation camp regime into a child education technique. Of course most of the kids subjected to it did not love it. In fact many were damaged by the hundreds of hours of "sessions" and getting touched allover their bodies during "touch assist". Long live El Ron.

Re: Larry Byrnes – as a proud ex-scientologist I say your "church" covered up the beatings and rapes of children at "The Mace Kingsley Ranch" by Scientology "minister" Rev. Wally Hanks. One of his beatings is on YouTube. He makes the kid look at a picture of L. Ron Hubbard while he beats him. SICK CULT.
