An easy win for both sides; in fact, what the hell else was there to watch last night! (We're speaking to those without HBO, of course! Right, Fangers?!)
Love owned the night in the ratings as ABC's finale of The Bachelorette nabbed an impressive 7.9 million viewers for its two-hour finale, ranking it as the top watched program of the night.
While adults 19-49 were waiting anxiously to see who Emily picked as her new man, everyone under that bracket was tuned into FOX for the Teen Choice Awards. With a line-up like Justin Bieber, Ian Somerhalder and the Holy Trinity of Twilight … well, you get it. It was a slam dunk of a night!
Sure, the numbers don't really compare to The Bachelorette (they scored 2.7 million viewers), but the ratings are on par for what the show got last year!
No decline is a good sign, at least we think so!
We think the TCA's are just getting warmed up — hitting their stride, if you will. We can't wait to see what they pull off next year!
