Mariah Carey may be making a whopping $18M to appear as a judge for the next season of American Idol, but according to show insiders who worked with the singer when she appeared as a guest mentor in the show's seventh season, that's about the amount they deserve for having to put up with her!
That's right, sources reveal that Mimi was not only a "nightmare to work with," but she showed up insanely late, was nit-picky about tiny details, and just "not very nice at all."
In contrast, former judge - and fellow diva - Jennifer Lopez was praised as a consummate professional who never made a fuss or outrageous demands!
Perhaps she was having a bad day last time around!
And she's a mom now! We're sure she's realized there's no time to be fussy or nitpicky when you have two of them to care for yourself!

I would take these rumours with a pinch of salt. It doesn't seem very legit, considering her stint on AI was a good four years ago.
