Sherman Hemsley Has Passed Away

SO MUCH SADNESS!!!
Sherman Hemsley, the man who played George Jefferson on The Jeffersons, passed away today.
Authorities say the 74-year-old actor died of natural causes at his home in Texas. He was discovered by his nurse, who initially thought he was sleeping, but later call for help once she realized he had passed.
Hemsley was best known for his starring role in the the hugely successful All in the Family spinoff, The Jeffersons.
The sitcom ran for 11 seasons — from 1975 to 1985 — and has been in syndication ever since.
The actor's hilarious portrayal of George Jefferson — a grouchy, slightly racist self-made man — connected with millions of people all over the world, and is possibly the biggest reason for the show's success.
Hemsley had no wife or children, but we're sure he will be missed by his many dear friends and his millions of fans around the world.

Nice.
Never ever heard a bad word about him - he just seemed like an all around nice guy. Thanks for the laughs Sherman & RIP.
Sad. One of my first tv memories as a little kid. Very sad. Condolences to his loved ones.
So sad
May he Rest In Peace
HIs portrayal of George Jefferson was genius. Archie Bunker was huge character, and there was George going toe to toe and WINNING! What an Actor!
Rest In Peace Sherman….Thanks for the laughs 0: (so marla and the original lionel are the only living cast members of the jeffersons?)
He was also on Amen, why is everyone leaving that off? I used to watch that when I was little. And why is there only 10 comments on this? What the hell is wrong with people?
Sad, but he passed in his sleep of natural causes so he died peacefully. Thanks for the laughs you gave to many
