I am not a fan of her work in twilight, but I do have to give her credit. At least she owned up to her mistake and didn't pull the whole "It wasn't me" when there is evidence to the contrary. I think that shows her regret for the whole situation, she could have just said it was all false and tried to save her reputation, but she owned up to it and I find that honerable.
This is from her interview in the May issue of Elle magazine. It says everything: "You can learn so much from bad things. I feel boring. I feel like, Why is everything so easy for me? I can't wait for something crazy to f-cking happen to me. Just life. I want someone to f-ck me over! Do you know what I mean?" So Rob wasn't willing to f-ck her over, so she had to do it to him.

That statement reads as if it was written by her publicist with her fans in mind - not Robert. Any apology to him will have to be face to face, not by public statement.

Like someone else said, AT LEAST she came right out and owned up to it, and had the decency to acknowledge how she has hurt the man who clearly adores her. I have to give her credit for not playing the blame game or denying it. Even when presented with irrefutable evidence, the common tactic is to deny. Rob obviously wanted her when he pursued her while she was dating her ex and I think it stands to reason that this guy did the same to her and she just cracked. For someone who was obviously very private about her life, I do believe this was a mistake. Why else would she commit her indiscretion in broad daylight knowing she is one of the most recognizable faces on Earth?
For someone who is as private and keeps to herself as she does, I find it hard to believe that she would do something like this out in public wherever they were.
