The Epic Trailer For Cloud Atlas Takes Reincarnation To The Next Level!

| Filed under: Film FlickersHugh GrantHalle BerryTom Hanks

Wow!

We haven't seen anything directed by the Wachowski siblings since their disappointing adaption of Speed Racer in 2008, but it looks like their return to the director's chair has been well worth the wait.

An EPIC trailer for their latest thought-provoking sci-fi movie, Cloud Atlas, has leaked and no, we're not using the word "epic" lightly.

First of all, the film is woven together from six different stories that take places over the course of thousands of years, which is a grand task all in itself. Secondly, the trailer is almost six minutes long!

From what we can tell, characters played by Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Susan Sarandon, Hugh Grant and lots of other talented actors meet throughout the ages before being reincarnated and meeting again in the future.

It's got romance, action, incredible special effects and attempts to explore the philosophical question of whether or not our lives are guided by fate. According the trailer, "we cross and re-cross our old paths like figure skaters."

I know I sound like a total loser but for some reason that made me want to cry it looks sad. I'm seeing it either way though haha.

Your use of the word "WOW" somehow doesn't seem good enough. I'd rather agree with @ sskiles! That's all right @ TheEric … a lot of people had no clue what The Matrix movies was about either, but they were still quite successful. Read the book - Cloud Atlas, that is - you'll find, if they haven't strayed too far, that it's quite good.

Looks like an amped up version of Darren Aronofsky's 'The Fountain'.
