    Just tell me one thing - why was the arrival of the Queen & Prince Phillip announced in French first???? Disgusting, she'll never see the Olympics in her own country again. Political correctnence? Out of order, respect for her own language first.

    This 2012 Olympic Opening represents nothing of the British culture and conformity that I know. It is a complete mismatch of theatre and new age gone wrong. Very disappointing.

    Re: Maree – Well clearly you no nothing of British culture, whether or not you are British, as me being British mself found it a beautiful representation of our city, that being London, and i's changes through time. They got everyone involved, and it wasn't a ceremony to please the world, if you realised, it was more about giving back to the people of London, which is why the British army were there, and the children of GOSH. You seem to be one of the only people to pick out its flaws and be pessimistic about it, as it got amazing reviews, so you're on your own there.
