Film enthusiasts hoping to get a glimpse (or at least a review) of Paul Thomas Anderson's newest drama, The Master, at this summer's Venice Film Festival are majorly disappointed.
While sources reported that the next film from the director of There Will Be Blood will be debuting at the festival, it mysteriously disappeared from the schedule.
There are still plenty of high-profile films for festival attendees to look forward to, but still, pretty much everyone was hoping to see Philip Seymour Hoffman and Joaquin Phoenix's performances in the movie that supposedly explores the creation of a cult religion mirroring Scientology.
However, there is still hope!
More titles to be screened at the August 29 festival will be announced next month, while the Toronto Film Festival kicks off just a week later.
Since PTA's new flick hits theaters later this year on October 12, it's gotta premiering at one of these two festivals. Riiiight?
