In light of the many rumors currently circulating around about the pandemonium that took place at her MDNA show at Paris' l'Olympia, Madonna has taken to her official site to address the controversy, and also clarify that the reports suggesting it was fan backlash due to a shortened set are untrue!
"Playing the Olympia was a magical moment for me and it was real treat to do this special show for my fans and be so close to them. Unfortunately at the end of the show - after I left the stage - a few thugs who were not my fans rushed the stage and started throwing plastic bottles pretending to be angry fans. The press reports have focused on this and not the joyous aspect of the evening. But nothing can take away or ruin this very special evening for me and my fans. When I looked out in the audience, everyone I saw had a smile on their face. I look forward to having this wonderful experience again."

Certainly coincides with the reports of angry locals protesting her controversial depiction of French right-wing leader Marine Le Pen in backdrop imagery, and not unhappy fans unsatisfied with the length of her performance!
Such a shame that something she clearly was so excited to partake in has been marred by misinformation!

She flashes her breast and swastikas just to get attention? She's an artist who is making statements about sexuality, politics, bigotry etc.. and she uses nudity and media and provocative images to do it, and it's what makes her one of the most exciting artists out there rather than just playing it safe.
She lip-synchs therefore she's a talentless performer? she's actuallyin collaboration incorporating her own written songs, rigorous athletic dance, high fashion, video, singing and playing instruments and unparalleled spectacles. and a lot of us fucking love it.
even if she didn't make tons of money or have tons of fans, she'd still be just as awesome of an artist to people who get what she's doing. and she'd still be making the world an more awesome place the way she is now as the one of the biggest performers in all of history.

This is not the truth about the concert. I live in Paris and went to the Stade de France concert which is a large venue and was before the surprise Olympia show .
The Stade de France venue was a very big letdown, I've seen Madonna many times but this was not a good concert. After the opening act, we had to wait over one hour and a half for Madonna's show to begin. It was literally impossible to see anything, the large screens were so small and nobody was up and dancing. The show was not more than an hour and a half. When she finished, she just left with goodbye and walked off. No encore, no feeling of gratitude for all the people who came out to see her.
The Olympia show was the same thing. People paid so much money and camped out for her. It was a ripoff for both shows.
For someone so spiritual, she needs to reflect on how to respect people and change her attitude and future shows.
I don't want to knock down Madonna, I just want to understand why she disrespected the fans this way and
QUIT TALKING ABOUT YOUR MOTHER THAT WAY!

In the end…most fans got a great intimate show. If it was marketed the wrong way… and they are truly unhappy, I hope they get their money back.
