Well, regardless of its thematic nature, John Mayer's newest single California Queen, off of super successful Born and Raised, is true to his mellow roots…

AND has gotten some visual accompaniment in the form of a contemplative stroll through all sorts of Hollywood constructed landscapes!

    Wrong. I don't think that song is about Aniston at all. He made a big mistake dealing with her let him move on and put that bad memory away. I still hate that stupid hat and that little country twang in his music but this song is a little better than that last song.

    The song title is "Queen of California" not "California Queen!"

    John Mayer is truly set apart from almost all contemporary R&B, Pop, Rock and Rap artists in that he is so gifted with his skills at playing guitar, writing and singing. I think he's in the same league as Clapton, Gilmour, Jagger, Beck(Jeff), Petty etc. He is so very talented with that guitar, sings well, has a smooth voice and is a true musician. More power to him and I'm going to iTunes next to buy the new album. Love him, love his work..

    I think that everything about John Mayer sucks. The video was stupid and his entire new look is stupid. If he hiked into Katy batcave then he's even more of a fowl creep. Why would ANY woman have anything to do with him? He's a real creep because of how he treats women. Perez you're too nice by giving him coverage. Why do you bother covering stories on him?

    In the lyrics it says "Heading out west", why is he walking eastwards?? This video seems so fabricated! He walks against mainstream to step into a new world *hint* *hint*
