Jeremy Renner Reveals An Uncertain Future In Marvel Movies

| Filed under: Film FlickersScarlett JohanssonJeremy Renner

Jeremy Renner not sure abotu more marvel movies

No! NO! We were really looking forward to this!

Although we heard that Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye and Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow would have major roles in Captain America: Winter Soldier, Renner can't give any kind of confirmation.

While promoting The Bourne Legacy, the action star was asked about his Marvel character's future and he gave a reply that was more or less as vague as they come.

He shared:

"It's a great character. There's a lot to explore there for me personally but I have no idea where they'll go with it. That's another sort of, [there are] puppeteers, they have their own ideas. I have no idea what's going on, people are probably more informed than I am of the reality of me being in another movie."

So either he's not allowed to talk about it yet or the studio hasn't come forward with an offer yet.

Considering the success of The Avengers and the fact that the Captain America sequel takes place AFTER the events that transpired in the biggest blockbuster of all time, we have a pretty good feeling the producers won't just drop Hawkeye.
