Hell hath no fury like a an ex!
Steven Tyler and American Idol have parted ways permanently but the Aerosmith frontman is happy to explain where it all went wrong.
Apparently Fox pressured him to become the a-hole judge. The scathing Simon Cowell fill-in, if you will.
Steven prefers a gentler approach. He revealed:
"The show's about kids and what you do to nurture their talent. They wanted me to take the p**s out of the kids and I don't have that in me. That's not what I'm about. That's more about that other guy [Simon]. Not me."
We applaud SteTy's refusal to walk
this that way!!
Those young kids pour out their hearts and souls to a live audience of millions.
When they screw up they know it. Why add insult to injury??
Steven knows there are worse jobs than being an Idol judge, though.
"It was something to do while the storm blew by, to be honest… not my cup of tea. I loved it and hated it. It was a great job, I sat next to J.Lo and I made a ton of money. It was a moment in life and it became larger than life."
Buckets of cash?? Working next to J.Lo — or Mariah Carey, as it were — all season long??
Where exactly can we sign up for this gig?
